I love how everyone has jumped on his jock like crab lice on a busy hooker now...
Everyone here was saying Matt would never be shit and they couldn't do anything for him at WM. IMO, Matt stole the show. If it weren't for HBK vs. Taker, he'd be performance of the night, no matter how much of the time he got his ass kicked. It once again showed Matt's resilience and toughness. Not to mention how innovative outside of the new appearance some of his in-ring work was.
True, it's made even more impressive by all the tanking Jeff did in recent weeks in Extreme Rules matches, so Matt defeating him the way he did really did push him over further than a regular match would have... but Matt's finally in the position to show off his natural charisma and whatnot. When Matt's pushed in a good storyline, especially as a heel, with some good competition, he's one of the best in the E.
I didn't say nobody could like him, I said it was funny that people started riding his nuts like they've done. It's funny to me that everyone changed their opinions so quickly. I don't know how you took "Don't like my favorite wrestler now that he's cooler!" from my post. If you'd have read the final paragraph, you'd see me basically agreeing that the E put his talent and his own natural charisma in the spotlight and let him shine. I wasn't saying not to like him, I just said how funny it was to me that everyone switched their steeze so quickly.Because heaven forbid people change their minds based on an image overhaul and an excellent performance? That would be ludicrous right? You know what I love? Smarky elitism from people who don't want others to like the wrestlers they like (apparently). 'Don't start liking Matt Hardy! Oh please don't start liking Matt Hardy! I was here first!'
Seriously, it's sad. It's like some guy who thinks he has a better connection with a band because he was watching them before they were big. People gain popularity and are capable of altering people's oppinions of themsevles. Accept it. Get over it. Move on.
And as an aside, if Taker vs Michaels wasn't on the card the performance of the show would have gone to Kofi Kingston, who was oustanding in MITB.

And Airfixx - the majority of people here pre-WrestleMania were talking about how no matter what Matt did or how he won and blah blah, he'd still be Matt Hardy and wouldn't be shit. They didn't see Jeff putting him over as being enough to save any potential he had, and he had no charisma and never would...
...and the guy puts on a pair of wrestling tights with a decent design of symbolism on 'em, and pulls out an innovative "twist" on his move, and he's like, not Matt Hardy anymore.
