Matt Bourne passes away

F4Wonline.com and PWInsider.com reported this afternoon that Matt Osborne, who originally portrayed Doink the Clown on WWE programming in the early-1990's, was found dead today by his girlfriend. WWE has issued a statement regarding his passing.

"Reports indicate that Matt Osborne, aka the original Doink the Clown, has passed away. A rugged brawler in promotions like Mid-South Wrestling and World Championship Wrestling, Osborne made a major impact in WWE under the greasepaint of a prankster named Doink — one of the most enduring personas of the early ’90s.

"WWE is saddened by the news of Osborne's passing. Our deepest condolences go out to Osborne’s family, friends and fans."

Osborne was 55-years-old.

So sad, Doink was awesome.

As Booty said, I've already paid my respects to Bourne so I didn't feel the need to do it again here, but if its going to get your panties in a bunch, I really liked Bourne and thought he was a vastly underrated talent in his time.

First thing off I want to give my condolences to the Osborne family and any friends Matt may have left behind. I really enjoyed his dark characters.

Next I'd like to say that some people have to work during the day and aren't able to post in a thread the moment it's posted.

Lastly it was over a month ago that the forum had any down time. We don't have a technical adviser that can simply fix things in an hour.

There's an outdated piece of software in our server that Hostgator will be taking care of tonight.
