You two just gotta remember. :lol I'm a bigger AEW fan then you two, so I get really tired of the non fans, or people who just want to hate them always shitting on them for "only pushing these people because of WWE." or "They want to be different but they are exactly the same." bs. So if we got them coping the match, even tho TNA already done it themselves, you wouldn't hear the end of it from some of them.

One thing I hate about wrestling is the toxic fans(on both sides in this case, as they are a lot of toxic AEW fans as well.). Maybe I should just ignore it. :lol but it's what I get for being on Twitter haha.

Like, I really really hate stuff like that.

I tweeted someone today because of Cody as well, but them talking about how he booked himself not to be able to win the world title but then books himself to win a tournament for a secondary title. Like, he's not suppose to ever win anything? Like yeah if he starts to have long title runs, buries the roster for years and years and years....and years. Then like, that's a good point. But they want him to put people over all the time. If he does that, then at some point beating him isn't a huge deal.

Haters are gonna find something to hate about regardless tbf, The Elite obviously knew that would be a complaint which is why they held off on them winning singles titles for so long. Bucks ain't even won the tag belts yet and everyone probably thought that was gonna happen.

I want ELITE world title feuds tho :side:

I am surprised they are doing this so early.

Id have had Cage feud with Allin and eventually beat him with Allin bumping like crazy to really put over the machine.

Then maybe later in the year or when audiences are back, he cashes in his chip for that upcoming PPV

Hate to say it, but they are doing this out of desperation. At this time, there really aren't any credible heels for Mox to face in a match that can reasonably sell a PPV. I think the roster needs a little bit more work. Get rid of some of the dead wood such as Sonny Kiss and start building a real roster.

Cody has a built in feud with MJF so that can keep him occupied but there really are some slim pickings on the heel side of the upper midcard. Not a good time for 2 face singles champions so look for the belt to come off of Mox sooner rather than later.

WWF was basically just ex-AWA guys during their first boom period and they did just fine. Of course everyone is going to be ex-WWE guys right now. They had a monopoly for almost 20 years. It's going to take a really long time for new stars to be built outside of the WWE system.

Basically as long as he doesn't book himself like TNA Jeff Jarrett (who wasn't even the biggest star on his own roster) then Cody's fine as head booker. Cody isn't his dad and thus shouldn't book himself like his dad (who never booked himself as a long term champion because he knew he was better as the chaser than the champion).

WWE's always done this. Ex-AWA guys then, later ex-NWA/WCW guys, ex-ECW guys, and now it's literally just ex-ROH/TNA/NJPW guys.

How many homegrown guys can you name in NXT at any given point? It could fit on one hand I bet.

Pretty much. :lol that's about what I was thinking in my head when I typed that.

Not sure Cage should be the one to beat Mox. If it was a bit later sure but still feels a bit soon to have Cage win and Mox drop the belt. Same reason Brodie winning felt too soon. I kind of lean towards a heel Hangman Page or Kenny Omega taking the title from him.

They could book the match in such a way that I could get in board with Cage winning but it would take some seriously genius booking to pull that off for me. I think Cage needs plenty more build before he's in the same category as Moxley, Jericho, Cody, etc.

Maybe his build is smashing up 8 participants in a ladder match and then steam rolling the current champion?

That might be meaningful if I felt like his ladder match performance elevated him like that, but I wouldn't say it did. I do think he'll have a mini program with Darby which will be good for him. But anyways, I won't judge anything before it happens. Just the prospect of Cage beating Moxley next month, at this moment, sounds bizarre. We shall see what happens though.
