This is supposed to be a serious thread and I'm looking for serious solutions to my 'serious' problem. When I was a kid, I discovered Masturbation. However I was told that I would get hairy palms and turn blind if I masturbated too often.

I never knew about actual sexual intercourse until the age of nine when some friend of mine told me how a man would put his penis into a woman's vagina and how the baby would form. I was too young to understand anything but I laughed, thinking it was probably some joke.

I wasn't curious since the beginning, it seemed normal to me. Other kids seemed to be excited and felt funny but I wasn't. But that was until I grew older and discovered the beautiful 'Internet'. It definitely spoiled me, I watched porno's and nudity, masturbated as early as eleven years of age. I remember deleting my history and telling my father that some 'pop-up' just popped up when he would catch me with a nude picture on my LCD.

Well, it was alright in the beginning but as I grew older, it became a habit that I would soon regret having.

It's often considered haram in our religion. Although that's a huge debate within the Muslim community, playing with our private parts is in fact considered a 'sin' in Islam. Even with that put on the table, I couldn't stop.

Now it's something that is hard to get rid of. Masturbation has become my favorite past-time, I can't get rid of this awful habit of striking my penis and going back and forth for an erection. Whether I'm watching something or imagining, I just can't stop.

I masturbate like four times a day now. It's horrible and I want to get rid of this.

What should I do?
IS there anything that can divert my attention?
Is there someone else who goes through this the way I do?

I have known guys that went from masturbating once a day to twice a day, and some eventually into double digits. That is how every addiction works.

The advice that I can give to you is for one, to accept that you are human and that masturbation is not evil. Two, both Buddha and Jesus taught that we are the sum total of our thoughts. If you fantasize about sex a lot then there is a good chance you may end up masturbating. Guard your thoughts.
