Me and some of my buddies has always had this debate in the back of our minds. I just want to know what you guys think. Which is better DC or Marvel? Justice League or The Avengers?

Im sure it's an interesting topic for some. Just let me know which side you are on so we can start the debate

Marvel's probably the better one honestly, but I've just always been a DC fan. I was a big fan of the Batman, Superman, and Justice League cartoons when I was younger and never really watched anything Marvel related until this current movie series.

I am the same way. I grew up watching Justice League and Teen Titans. But I also Love Spiderman so I can't really pick a side.

DC has better villains in my opinion, but Marvel has better super heroes also in my opinion.

This. Marvel has some amazing heros, but DC wins in the Villains department. Marvel also puts out the better movies. Comic book wise, the only comic books I ever read was Batman and X-men but X-Men is my favorite series of all time, so I guess I have to go with Marvel being better than DC.

I'm a marvel person but I also like Batman as well along with Spiderman and wolverine never liked the others and really hated iron man after civil war and couldn't believe he was forgiven so easily.

They both suck, Image, because I don't have to buy 20 issues from runs I don't care about to get the whole story. IDW gets a close second from Transformers & TMNT.

I can feel more sympathy towards Marvel's villains, namely Magneto, or Doc Ock. Where DC (since the New52, and its here to stay for now) has taken this away from some of their villains, like Mr. Freeze who now kidnapped Nora's frozen body because she was the first woman cryogenically frozen, and killed his own mother. Both companies over saturate the market with key characters, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Batman, & Superman are in atleast 4 books each month, when characters that should get more exposure cant even find it on a B-list team like the Defenders/Outsiders. I still enjoy books released by both companies, but these annual "shakes the foundation" crossover story arch's are getting extremely dull.

I don't really read the comics, but I watch the shows and movies a lot. Hell I have even started playing Hero Clix.

HeroClix was a lot of fun in the beginning, then they got into adding cards and all that other crap trying to compete with the Dungeons & Dragons & Star Wars miniature games after Wizards of the Coast decided to hit that market. WizKids had that market secure with MageKnight, and it was a tested system, too bad they felt the need to make additions that never needed to be there in the first place. Hell I still have my DC series 1 Darkseid and Parasite.

Even in the realm of visual media, Image is still producing better offerings than Marvel or DC. Arrow is a decent show, and I hope Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is just as good, but The Walking Dead is the best non-animated TV show based on a comic book, and is actually better than some of these recent offerings on the big screen like Green Lantern, The Dark Knight Rises, or even Iron Man 3.

I am also looking forward to Axe-Cop on Animation Domination HD. It cant be any worse than these shit shows Marvel is trying to offer up after cancelling great shows like Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Wolverine and the X-Men, or DC's attempt at making money off of Batman villains only 1% of the readers even know.
