Mark Henry has been pushed as an absolute monster the past month. He has taken out Show and Kane by putting them both through the announce table with the World's Strongest Slam. He them dismantled Show on RAW tonight by ripping the door off the cage and then putting Show through the side of the cage.

He has become the new monster heel in WWE and looks so much better when he is a heel rather than a face. He is in much better shape now than twelve months ago and he is much better off for it.

On Smackdown I wouldn't be against seeing him feud with Orton for a month or two once Christian is out of the picture. He is now a threat since he has taken out the two biggest guys on the roster.

A lot of people think that Big Show has been made to look weak recently, but that's not the case at all.

He was hit by a car, injurying his knee (like it would with everyone else), then got beaten up by Mark Henry at Capitol Punishment, which Del Rio capitalised on. That doesn't sound weak at all to me. Now since Capitol Punishment, Henry has been made to look even stronger, not Show being made to look weak.

But anyway, Henry is an absolute fucking beast. I've enjoyed watching him dominate recently and listening to what he has been saying to the officials that have come to aid Big Show.

Henry is facing Orton on Smackdown this week, I'd love for Henry to actually win. Distraction or not.

He helped Christian get his shot, Christian can repay the favor.

Henry is a beast, I've always liked him and he will be getting one last run before he retires.

I have never been a Henry fan, but since I have not seen any of him recently during this latest push, I will reserve comment, and keep an open mind.

I have never been a Henry fan either but his work as ECW champion was pretty good and he has been great these last 2 weeks. Would like to see his momentum continue and since Orton bores me to sleep I'd be fine with him winning the belt.

If anybody cares to check Live Smackdown Spoilers I will not post my thoughts here just yet on Mark Henry.

He's getting built like a monster and I believe he'll face Orton sooner than later for the title.

He's been getting one hell of a push recently, there's no doubt about that.

Good to see it too for a guy who has fluttered in the land of nothingness for several years now dating back to his pre-ECW run.

That being said, as I said months ago when the draft happened, I'm not so sure Henry can be your top heel on a brand and be able to carry the show as that man. We'll have to see what unfolds here in the upcoming weeks. Can he be a top heel? I don't see why not. Can he be THE top heel? Not so sure.

Mark Henry is more than capable of being a top heel, he is an experienced veteran who knows how to play a crowd. Also is very convincing when he plays heel.

Mark has been consistently great, since at least his ECW days, he finally seems to have found his calling(it usually takes the average big men longer than your usual talents). He is solid in the ring, and is highly charismatic. I am not personally a fan of the silver-back(Mark Henry), but denying the talent level at this point would be absurd. As a face, he was charismatic enough to get the crowd in his palm with merely a smile. I prefer a heel Henry since his presence naturally lends him to being one, so I don't mind the turn as of late. In the ring, he has found his calling, he is a solid big man performer. Just on talent alone, a title run is justified, and I could definitely swallow a Mark Henry title run at this point. Smackdown is in a weird place right now where the roster is kind of iffy, so a bit of experimentation can't hurt, with the ratings being as dismal as they are right now.

That isn't to say that Henry will instantly spike up ratings, they probably won't budge one way or another, but the roster is bare and it shows, something definitely needs to be done there. They have already exhausted their biggest potential feud straight off the bat(Orton/Christian), they can't stick with it forever, so hence, sooner or later you will end up in a place where the Smackdown Champ will basically have to take on challengers that are clearly mid-carders, so why not develop them into Main eventers in the meantime, rather than shoving unprepared mid carders to the scene when the necessity demands it. In short, I approve of where things are going with Henry.

But remember, they exhausted the main feud early, but with the way things are set up, the last time Christian and Orton are probably going to meet is at MITB.

Then that MITB winner very well could cash in on whoever wins the title that night, or that week on Smackdown and shake things up considerably, so it's not like they don't have a lot of options here and HAVE to push Henry at this point

Still keeping an open mind about this, there were positives and nagitives to Henry on Smackdown this week. The pros were that he is much more convincing in this moody/killer heel role [although his facial expressions could do with a bit of work] and he did get great heat in the post match. The cons were that he still sucks as a wrestler as far as I can see, and despite the post match angle still has trouble connecting with the fans, he is just a little too boring to watch.

The main problem is that even if Henry can get over in this new role, the question still remains can he stay over long term if he is pushed as a main eventer. I have my doubts, booked in the manor he was on SD, and in small doses, it can work, but as a full-time main eventer, who has to carry more of the weight, I think his weakneses would be exposed too much. And until he can improve in the ring the fans are still going to be bore by his matches. Progress has been made, but not enough.
