Do you not have friends? Or do you have friends but want a relationship? When I was 16 I was very popular in school but I was the ONLY out gay guy in the school. My first boyfriend passed away when I was 15 so I was pretty devastated and really wanted to find a new boyfriend to hug me and make me feel better... but I didn't. It was pretty bad. Sometimes you just need someone who understands you and having zero gay friends from 16 to 18 years old was terrible! Oh and three years of celibacy was bad too
