Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Chris Jericho’s representatives recently negotiated with WWE and extended his current contract by several months, which will extend well beyond WrestleMania into the summer. Jericho was originally signed for six months from January 2012 to a returning feud with CM Punk and did have a Fozzy tour planned for summer, no word on how that will be effected.

Awesome news, I am glad that he is back and look forward to seeing him for months more after Wrestlemania. Wonder how long his feud with Punk will last or if he moves onto someone else? He is one hell of a wrestler and his promo work is amazing too. Loving it lately.

If I were him I would stick to wrestling he really isn't making a lot of money through Fozzy when he was touring here in Australia he was staged in Bankstown and that's one of the shittiest places in Australia.

He's got money and if he can work a 8 months on one thing he loves and a few months on another thing he loves more power to him.

Good news. I bet the WWE is gunning for a multi-year contract with him.

Guess he'll just go away shortly for his fozzy stuff assuming he's still gonna do that and then come right back in whatever feud he'll be apart of if not to resume with Punk.

To be honest, Fozzi is not that great. But I understand Jericho wants to add his admiration on the tour to get better results. Jericho just needs to stay with the WWE.

I like Fozzy but he should keep wrestling for now and go back to it when WWE dosen't have any ideas for him or he wants time off

Glad to hear Jericho will be after Mania. I hope he puts over some future talent before he has to really leave for tour dates.

True, but there is an opportunity for a Backlash like rematch after Mania too. This match is going to be good and I look forward to as much as we can get out of him!

I always already expecting a gimmick based rematch at Extreme Rules before this report. I mean it's nice to know he will do more after that.

WWE will be glad to have him sign on for a bit longer since they need as many experienced hands on deck as possible at the moment. After his Punk feud it would be nice seeing him help elevate a few of the upper midcarders, WWE desperately need more new stars and veterans like Jericho should be used to help these guys make it to the top.
