Dixie Carter announced on Bellator MMA that she has signed TNA World Champion Jeff Hardy to a long term deal.

Can't stand Hardy, but he's a solid name that can go in the ring still and moves merch....good deal for TNA as they still need him at this point.

Not surprising. He's built a nice nest at TNA. Less travel than the WWE, less stress and higher ranking within the promotion. There was no reason for him to leave

Good deal for both sides. Jeff is good value for them especially now that they are taping Impact on the road. They need big names to draw fans and to keep ticket sales high enough to make this move work and Jeff will sell tickets for them. He has also been one of their highest merchandise sellers ever since he moved across so that makes him very valuable as well.

Good deal for Jeff since he can still work on his terrible music whilst in TNA and doesn't have to tour as much. TNA just need to ensure that he stays clean.

It's kind of weird to open a thread titled as such and not read it being about Sting

I'm actually shocked once I saw Hardy go up on the Alumni page on WWE I'd swear he signed or was going to sign with them. Is this an example of WWE helping out TNA and keeping some surprises in wrestling?

Damn, no please. This guy may do some impact on ratings I accept but he is ruining TNA. All that overrated things, being a big hero, all that talking inside his brain... Damn. I hate this guy. This maybe a huge star in WWE and in his first TNA run but now, he is nothing but a failure. This guy had wrestled high in Victory Road 2011, against his icon when he was a child. And then, he come back, he beat everyone, he beat the real Jeff, the co founder of TNA, he gone to top and "Resurrected". This is bullsh*t. This guy and everything he gets makes me mad. I go nuts absolutely. Bobby Roode, AJ Styles, Christoper Daniels, Samoa Joe, James Storm, Austin Aries, Bully Ray, Kazarian, Devon etc. All of them are way better than Hardy. They have respect to TNA and some of them had built this company, lead that to be the second top wrestling promotion in the world. This guy could f*ck everything up just in 10 minutes but no. Dixie, when will you realize that guys like him are just resolution for the day, not future.

First off say fuck like an adult.

Secondly, while I'm not a fan of the man in the ring or out (though I believe he's redeemable) How do you measure success because calling him a failure is just incorrect. Claiming he was a huge star in WWE (never really HUGE) and his first run in TNA. He is still a huge star for TNA not a fan of it but he makes them all kinds of money and thats how success is measured. He has many fans and he puts asses in seats.

Didn't really know if insults are result of a ban.

He make some asses put in the seats not because of himself, because of the way he get treated and because of the storylines. He is doing nothing special. He is stale in the ring, his promos are awful and horrible to listen. The only reason that he is loved a lot is his past, oh and the storylines. He is being treated as a hero. He went all the way from rehab to back at the top. His opponents carrying the matches for the most of the time, he makes a comeback and he wins. Typical Cena but at least Cena has respect to his job, he doesn't get high on shows at least.

If you give the same storylines to another superstar in TNA, if you would make him the top guy, a beloved face and if he would be in good storyline exact same thing would have happened. TNA could do this to AJ, to Storm to any beloved babyface. There is nothing special in Hardy. He is just a move to save the day, not future.

I think this is a case of WWE trying to bring as much traffic as possible to their website. They wouldn't have done this to help TNA at all.

What matches of his are you watching? He's been pretty wicked in the ring lately. He's loved not because of storyline, but because he's generally enjoyable to watch. It's mostly his old fans, but I can see younger fans really getting into him. His mic work isn't as terrible as you make it out to be. Not everybody can be a complete natural on the mic, but I'd say he holds his own.

2 years is hradly a "long term" deal. Typical TNA overexaggeration though.

TBH the Alumni placement is probably WWE gaining more traffic to their site. Or planting more seeds of Vince secretly owning TNA

As much as I don't like Hardy he's "the guy" for TNA so this is some good news for them. He sells a lot of merchandise and people love him (I have no clue why). He can easily be replaced though. You could fire him tomorrow and you could make yourself a new top guy who's going to sell at least as much merchandise as Hardy and the guy would even be better wresling-wise. What I'm saying is that I don't know why TNA is keeping Hardy like he's some kind of a god when he can be replaced in a blink of an eye.

Because there is no reason to, as long as he stays clean and is committed to the company. As long as his ego don't start running a mock and he thinks he is bigger than TNA then I am fine with it.

Hardy knows he's lucky he's with TNA so he'll keep his mouth shut even if Hogan would shove his dick up Hardy's ass.
