With the NBA season up in the air, WWE is looking to book RAW in bigger cities over the next few months. There have also been discussions about trying to get a big name NBA star to work an angle at WrestleMania 28 in Miami next year. In recent years, WWE officials have expressed interest in using Shaq or LeBron James for angles.

I'd absolutely love to see this happen. I don't have any real interest in Shaq being involved with this, but Lebron or maybe Dirk, Howard or Kobe would be awesome.

With the lockout I think if the money is right they'll be able to get Lebron which will be insanely huge considering where mania is at. They been wanted to get Shaq though to face Big Show and since he is retired anyways I'm sure they could get him if they wanted.

Honestly I think Shaq has the most possibility. It's been rumored for years the size of the two is a factor and Shaq is actually a fan and expresses that.

Think if Vince were smart he'd convince as many guys as he could to join the XBL Basketball but street rules 12 teams 20 games given that their's no alternative he'd probably at least make it through the season.

I could definitely see Vince making some offers to get the NBA players to at least appear on the show. Shaq has worked with WWE in the past and I am sure he would want to do something with them. If they could get LeBron to host WM28 that would be pretty huge since it is in Miami.

I have a slightly off topic question. In the US does RAW normally air against some NBA games during the season? If so then WWE will be lucky because they won't get hammered in the ratings and they should use this time to try to get some more NBA fans to give WWE a chance.

Yeah sometimes it does, so this is indeed beneficial to WWE.

This is an awesome idea. As much as everyone loves Shaq, LeBron coming in would be epic. He be the perfect heel to bring in and it would be great. Imagine a Cleveland show with LeBron appearing, it would be the biggest heat someone has gotten since Austin turned on the WWE.

Only problem with it is Lebron has no acting skills whatsover anything I've seen him in it looks bad so you'd need someone that's either comfortable with the product or who can actually act.

LeBron James vs The Miz at Wrestlemania 28 would be an interesting match, I'm probably gonna pay to watch Wrestlemania this year so if they do add that to the card.... it would definitely make Wrestlemania more interesting this year.

I honestly don't think that WWE will be able to offer him enough money to get him to wrestle. Just covering the insurance on his NBA contract will be a couple of million. I remember when Andrew Bogut wanted to play in the Australian NBL during the lockout but his insurance was close to a million and that is playing basketball not a different sport, plus Lebron would get paid a lot more than him.

I think that they could get him to appear and maybe throw a punch but that would be it. Maybe they could have him manage a face to wrestler Miz?
