Indeed it is. Was created as a way to showcase hysteria and paranoid in a simple form along with being a dumb party game

I really do think now that most of the wf guys are gone we should stop naming doctors bodyguards.

This is what I try telling people all the time. It was invented as an in real life party game.

The original game is quite simple and played very differently than when it got adapted to forums.

For example you vote all at once at the end, usually.

Also, I tried to tell the wf guys how they did certain things or how they named things were incorrect and tried to act like they invented mafia. Like no, bodyguard dies when his target is shot at. It’s the doctor that saves people.

on the last part, I could not agree more lol. I only knew the WF way before but only a small amount of critical thinking results in realizing u are 100% correct. even if it wasnt official:
a doctor irl saves ppls lives and prevents them from dying - in the madia sense : they patch up a shot towny and they survive the shot, its never ''blocked''
a bodyguard jumps in a front of bullets IRL - in mafia terms, they take the bullet instead of the other towny being shot. it should not make the BG invincible in doing so as that is illogical

Doctor, Bodyguard and Vested BG always create conflict.
when I first joined - i did suggest that roles should be streamlined. And that alternative roles - should use different names.

Yeah, well put. I tried to tell them about saving versus taking the bullet, but they said it didn’t matter.

Also, said every mafia site I showed them weren’t “canon.” Didn’t matter if it was mafia scum, universe, town of Salem. They all got it wrong over wf lol

yeah that's literally what every games turns into to varying degree. its an emotionally draining game at times
