Mafia FC - A Football Manager experiment
The year is 2019 and as a result of disastrous coastal erosion, the entire city of Brighton was flooded into ruin, taking with it their beloved Brighton & Hove Albion. Premier League officials sought to promote one extra team from each of the leagues below but at the risk of destabilizing the entire league pyramid and unsettling format that had been in place for years came to the decision that Brighton & Hove Albion would instead be relocated.
Having closely followed the troubles Brighton had been dealing with in recent years, a local businessman from Douglas on the Isle of Man had been waiting for his chance, recently funding the completion of a state-of-the-art 50,000 seater stadium, Smarks Park. The next Step for Ronald Smark Sr. was to ensure his application to re-house Albion was successful. It was, but this was just the beginning.
Shortly after the dust had settled and there was no turning back, Smark Sr. began to change things, he didn't like the furniture that had been left behind at Brighton & Hove Albion and the furniture didn't like him. On the night of 6/30/19, the entire Brighton playing and coaching staff went missing, janitored and never to be seen again:
Things were changing, quickly, Mafia FC was born.
Over the coming weeks Ronald Smark Sr. set about searching far and wide for the man to take this new team forward and help them meet the lofty expectations he had set. He had all but given up hope but when confiding in his son later that night was presented with just the answer he had been looking for... Smark Jr had known this man as a long time as a friend, an adversary and now as a colleague on the new home of Mafia, WrestlingSmarks.com! He knew he had just the man his father was looking for. And with that, a new player/head coach was named:
The weeks following this proved to be tumultuous for Odo as he swiftly tried to get a team together ready for the deadline. After much persuasion, a little bit of WIFOM and a whole lot of OMGUS...his squad for the 2019/20 season had been assembled:
The time for playing games was over, everyone was town now, and they were going to have to get on the same page for once. Premier League Survival is the only win condition and anything but failure would come with harsh consequences.
