With the game only 3 weeks away, I'm hoping some PS3 players on here will be picking up the game (looking at you PHX).

I found the list of quarterback ratings for the default rosters. I think EA does a good job maintaining their player ratings throughout the season, but there's always a few ratings on the default rosters that I don't agree with.

Frankly, I don't agree with Peyton Manning's awareness being perfect after coming off an injury season. I'm almost certain his rating will decrease after the season starts, probably as soon as the first roster update. I really think Flacco got shafted considering his team would have been in the Super Bowl if not for his wide receiver and kicker. Rating Cam Newton higher overall is complete shit imo.

Definitely the first time I've ever wanted to see that rating for a D lineman. If it's below 90, fuck it, I'll tweak it manually.

These are individual ratings, bro. Doesn't matter if Flacco came close to the SB, he's just not that good. Cam is just a much better player, just look at the stats:

Flacco: 3,610 yards, 20 TD, 12 INT, 57.6 % Completions
Newton: 4, 051 yards, 21 TD, 17 INT, 60% Completions

Plus when you factor in Newton's stellar running ability, it's not even arguable.

Flacco is better than people give him credit for really and think he should have been a 89 maybe a 90 at the highest. I won't disagree though about Cam being better don't have an issue with that at all guy is just insane having great throwing ability and can run.

The Ravens are a rushing team, so no shit Newton will have more yards. Flacco will never break 4k playing for the Ravens.

Completion percentage can be a misleading statistic too. Flacco has never been known for throwing INT's, which is a lot more important. Besides, his receivers sucked so hard I'm surprised he got his percentage up that high.

You're right about the rushing though. Jacking up a player's speed raises the shit out of their overall rating on Madden, which I've thought was pretty extreme since the Madden 04 days when Mike Vick was like 95ovr or something like that and his awareness tanked. EA needs to fix that. I just disagree that Newton should be rated higher than Flacco based on last season. I have no doubt Newton will earn that rating this year though. He's definitely one of my favorite players to watch.

Flacco attempted 25 more passes than Newton did during the season, so that argument is flawed. Carolina is definitely a rushing team, too. Have been for years. Now, they're just more balanced with Newton. Newton/Stewart/Williams combined for over 2,300 yards rushing.

I'm probably the biggest Andy Dalton fan out there, but no, I think he's rated fairly.
