Didn't watch, but semi-surprised with Cody losing. I think Roman reaching 1k days and losing to Jey might make it all worth it to conclude that story in the most fitting way, but also man it must be a gut punch for so many people for Cody to have about as near perfect a story leading up to Mania, be built so much, have so much hype, and lose. If there is that silver lining, I know Cody can be back. He will, but this is a heartbreaking hurdle. I'll be happy once Roman loses the belt just so that we can have new stories in the main event.

Crazy that as I watched it go down I was perfectly fine with it and not deflated like when it was Roman/Drew even though I was adamant Cody should win the whole time.

At least I can see what I assume to be the plan is here. People were kind of annoyed that Cody came back at #30 and got an easy road to winning the belts without any failure or adversity, now he's got that.

There was something sweet about Solo costing him the belt aswell and it not being a straight up clean finish after Cody was taunting him for those few weeks about not being ready and taking his undefeated streak in their match on Raw.

Colour me intrigued.
