I think you should give OC more of a chance, he's pretty good these days even at short promos. He will never be your fave but I think you would enjoy some of it, especially this dumb Bandido stuff backstage.

for what it's (els)worth I actually though his ladder match with AJ was amazing lol
I think he’s a decent worker when he’s serious. It just takes me out when he starts lightly slapping a guy and lightly kicks their chin. The pockets things is weird, it I can mostly get around it because he can do some neat dives handless.

Him and Bandido, though, I’m sure will be fun together.

so here is where I can try to help, because comms has been doing a good job explaining it

He doesn't think it hurts you, he does it because it's a mind game to frustrate his opponents into making mistakes. And it works a lot of the time. It also makes more sense when you realize OC is a lucha wrestler but also primarly a counter wrestler. Almost all of his offence works off his opponent trying to hurt him. It's a bit weird for sure, but I started enjoying it a lot more when they said that and it makes a lot more sense.

to add to this, the people who end up being the most successful against OC are the people who don't fall for his traps and get down to his level or get frustrated. That is usually the way to be victorious over him because that and the Mouse Trap are his ace in the hole

In AEW this definitely seems to be the case and I can probably get behind this line of thinking, but I will say I’ve seen some of his stuff on the indies where the other characters definitely play into it. And there was one match where he was taking a nap for some reason, and the guy was trying to pin him and making the ref count quietly and stuff. I don’t know. Weird.

I do know he’s a Lucha wrestler. He came over from Chikara, which I never got into, either, but I do know was pretty popular for a bit. I did like quite a few of the gimmicks in Lucha Underground, though.

I’ll keep on keeping on with Cassidy, but I do wish he hadn’t traded out that goat theme song. It pumped me up even when I didn’t care to see him. Helps.

I love Jane but ya, I miss the old theme every day, it was perfect.

and yeah I get a bit eh when ppl play along too much (unless its a non serious match and thats been established). the exception though was Sting,, that shit was amazing lol

Omos is fine, he's a 7 foot plus guy who does exactly what you'd expect.
