Well I thought for sure Cena would okay this feud to come. Man the Unreal Episode on this happening with Lesnar is going to be nuts.
I'm sure he did okay it. But seems he didn't personally request it, like ol Paul tried to say he did.

i will say that cena did say before this when asked who he would like to face on his farewell tour he said he's never asked for opponents and just worked with whoever the higher ups gave him.

So no press conference? And throws Cena under the bus? Damn Trips 100% a coward.

Well, it's a good thing if he didn't requested it or had anything to do with creative in this story, but it still doesn't make Cena look any better really...

I mean, he of all people would be in the greatest position to just say "Nah, I'm not gonna do anything with Brock". I doubt even TKO would immediately take the rest of his retirement tour away from him... and even if they did, by the sound of it he had a hell of a final Match against Cody in front of a huge crowd in the Main Event of one of the biggest PPV IPs they have.

I get why someone way lower on the food chain would not just quit the company because of their paychecks... but John, even though I do respect his honesty about him being a corporate stooge first and foremost, is in the very small, privileged group of people who just can't hide behind "I'm just following orders".

We are talking about the guy who granted more Make-a-Wish wishes than any other person, who is completely fine about working with someone, who isn't playing just a tiny part in a sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit against the former owner of this company.

Tbh it might have been kayfabe Triple H saying that Cena wanted Brock.

Not that it makes bringing him back any better at all

Both sides will try minimise it being their idea to bring Brock back but the timing of it is just way too suspicious for it to not be a Cena pitch.

Judging by who he’s faced so far I’m pretty sure Cena is having a large say on who he’s facing, doesn’t make the company any better though, either side could have said no.

Or HHH lied because I feel like it has been reported over the years Cena doesn't really push for stuff, he just accepts what is given (don't get me wrong Cena is scummy and probs is pro working Brock)

Guess we might never know but the thought of Cena not pushing for or back on stuff and just accepts what's given to him is a very funny thought.
