This rock angle has honestly been pretty fire. Obviously trying to sow seeds of turning Cody heel but obviously when they get to Canada, he’s gonna turn him down. You can’t have the nightmare’s soul.

It was a pretty lengthy segment, but it was worth it.

Rock says he knew Cody was to be his guy when he came back last year and he openly admits in the storyline now that he tried to push Cody out of the way and Cody said no he wanted his main event and because of that the rock wants him to be his champion.

Very much so. That’s what I immediately thought, too. Rock kept going from baby face to heel throughout, and it became more evident the longer his pitch went on that he was trying to slowly corrupt Cody into his line of thinking, and he used a lot of personal manipulation.
