I don’t think legends would make you enjoy it more, though.
Probably not. :lol But I said my peace on the match, so I’ll leave it at that haha.

It was meh until Bron came in and then it was good imo
I’d probably agree there. Once it got going I loved it.

Finish was also superb. They just let the two most over guys go once it was the final two and gave Cody the perfect win when Punk mentioned his father.

Which Punk adored Dusty.

The problem with the Men's Rumble is that only CM Punk and Cody Rhodes had an actual chance. At least for me, no one else really comes close to their level.

I think that's the case every year, there's usually only a few people that actually make sense to win.

As it should have been. The most successful rumbles were typically when the WWE did a good enough job of cementing one guy as the guy. Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold, Brock Lesnar, Batista, etc.

Plus, they leaned into that by giving the final two a solid amount of time as just the two before the finish.

And Bayley & Bex were the only ones who had a chance of winning their Rumble but it didn't effect the quality in anyway. There's nothing wrong with predictability if it makes sense and is the right thing to do.

Liv, Jade, Bayley, Becky and Bianca all had a chance. I enjoyed the Men's Rumble, but compared to the Women's Rumble, it honestly wasn't great. Just my 2 cents.

Then you could easily flip that and say Gunther, Drew & someone like Jey had a chance of winning theirs, but each to their own.

Tbh I’d add Liv to that. She definitely had a chance, I don’t disagree with the rest, sometimes it’s better to be predictable.

Predictably when done right usually just means you’ve executed the story well enough that the fans know where the logical conclusion is going to be. You’ve done your job. I think one of the worst aspects of modern storytelling is the concept of subverting expectations. Because then you’re just intentionally ruining your story in my opinion so people didn’t see it coming. Like Roman beating Cody again would just kill the hottest angle you have.

I don’t think anyone thought Jade was going to win.

Bayley and Becky were the two favorites

On that note, I did win money on Bayley being the Ironwoman of the match, though I lost it all immediately with Jade not getting the most eliminations :bosque

I even said on the pod a few weeks back Bayley or Becky would win, and said Liv was a dark horse pick of someone outside those two.

I did believe Jey Uso could win it at some point.

Out of the four female wrestlers in the picture I think Liv is the least likely to ever main event Wrestlemania or something but yeas the futures bright with those four mixed in with the rest of the roster, I personally think Tiffany has money written all over her.

Also with the women it will always depend on their situation on if they want to start a family, with each child they have they will be taking 18 months to 2 years off, some me even quit the business to start a family where a male wrestler will probably just take a couple of weeks off.

Back to the show, I thought the men rumble was pretty boring until the last five or so came in, interesting to see the last 7 guys being all Raw(obvious due to the fact Roman had three opponents.

The women’s Rumble was probably the best one they've done yet, Tiffany and Jade both looked great and i think Bayley was the right choice.

The fourway was very good and KO vs Logan was fine.
