WWE Raw draws another strong ratings number, finishes first on cable

Raw last night did another strong number, averaging 1.98 million viewers overall and drawing a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 demo. The show finished first for the night on cable including beating the final episode of Better Call Saul head-to-head.

Raw beat every television show on cable and network except The Bachelorette in 18-49 and all but four network shows and one cable show, two in Spanish, in 18-34.

Raw won women 18-49 close over Better Call Saul and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, won men 18-49, was second to Better Call Saul in 18-34 and women 12-34, and was just ahead in men 12-34.

In total viewers, Raw ranked behind eight news shows.

It was up one percent from last week in viewers, down one percent in 18-49, and down 17 percent in 18-34, which also means a big increase in 35-49.

As compared to one year ago, Raw was up seven percent in viewers, down three percent in 18-49, and down nine percent in 18-34. However, if you factor in homes lost by cable, it would be up 11 percent in viewers, up one percent in 18-49, and down six percent in 18-34.

The show did have third-hour drops, but still well below usual levels. From hour one-to-three, women 18-49 fell 11 percent, men 18-49 fell one percent, females 12-34 stayed even, and males 12-34 fell six percent. Shockingly, people over 50 were the same in hour one as hour three, which is a rarity as that demo almost always drops.

So while the long third-hour matches didn't have much heat live, they did work from a television standpoint.

The three hours were:
  • 8 p.m. 1.97 million viewers
  • 9 p.m. 2.09 million viewers
  • 10 p.m. 1.88 million viewers

Literally nothing different from 4 weeks ago.

Only new booking were flight bookings.....the format and entire timing layout is still the exact same as it's always been.

Triple H want to prove something, here's an idea.....time out your commercial breaks better.

I said NXT was applauded for their super indie era because ONE person wasn't running Gorilla Position.

I've said this about that company for as long as I been here.

Time vindicates me always.
