That Wyatt Sicks/American Made street fight ruled, what a blast that was. That main event was quite good too.

Gunther segment with Bret Hart was fun, I couldn’t believe they went there the Bill Goldberg joke but I loved it.

Personally, I feel that WWE, and HHH specifically, dropped the ball with the IC Contender's match.

1. They went with the most obvious choice in modern wrestling history. Let's give Jey the win, because he's the most popular. Never mind, that they could have made several other interesting choices. They could have made it a hoss fight with a Strowman win, or a brawn vs skill match with Dragunov, yet, they went the path of least resistance. This leads directly into problem number two.

2. Just like Hell in a Cell between Bray and Seth, WWE has, once again, shot themselves in the face. Bron has just begun establishing himself as IC Champion, and they cannot risk pulling a knee-jerk victory for Jey,, because that causes two problems of their own. One, that decision would severely cut the legs out from under Breakker, and two, if Jey loses (which he should), will destroy whatever momentum he was building all these months.

Way to go, HHH! You have yet again, painted yourself into a corner!!!

I agree with you on this one. Jay is a fine upper mid-carder, but he will turn the IC Championship into the most boring mid-card title ever.

If you believe a former employee who was released recently, the plan was for Jey to beat Gunther for said IC title before Mania and then battle Jimmy at WM for it.

Sounds like a terrible decision, and they route they went was much better.

I can honestly see Jey losing the match either by shenanigans or clean to help build Bron up even more. A loss for Jey will not and does not hurt him in the least, but him getting a solo title needs to happen while he is still over as much as he is.

Ilja will probably dethrone Bron eventually, but it feels like he just got the title, so I can't see him losing it so quickly unless he is going for the WHC and that is a tad early as of now.
