They literally made this show as a jumping on point for the new viewers (of which the majority of the Netflix audience was). So you give them the history of the business and not some random matches that don't mean anything 1 hour after it's done.

I love WWE fans downtalking to other fans who like wrestling on a WRESTLING show and that we should just move aside to the mouthbreathers who consume nothing but slop while doom scrolling on their phone until their face is on camera like it's a good thing . you even followed it up with the "random match" like that is the only other option to having 4 matches on a 3 hour shows.

This is exactly what I was talking about with chris in the main chat, the PR is amazing because you have fans actively defending this stuff and making stuff up like "the majority of people watching were new fans!" (you have no data to back this up, at all) .

Why do hardcore fans constantly accept mediocrity because it's booked for casuals when they themselves are not casuals is one of life's biggest mysteries to me.

There were almost zero stories pushed forwards, no amazing in-ring action, and it had a bunch of old people come out and take up the spotlight when they served little to no purpose. WHO THE FUCK WOULD WATCH THIS AND THINK, "GEE, I SHOULD SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT WEEK!"
