Wentz probably storywise should win. Then run it back at Victory Road and do the title match there, and Wes can win it. Then do the third wherever and Wentz can win it back.

At least they let him come out with the belt. You would think if they put the belt on him before this appearance that it would’ve been an important enough to put the belt on the line but I guess it just means that Wes is winning and they don’t want to put it on him. Should be a good contest, regardless.

I figured WWE wouldn’t have wanted to bring attention to the fact that they fired Mr. Carter, but this match could’ve been even more hype if they really leaned into the fact that he got fired, and Wes went on to make a career for himself and that way, Carter could have just as much to prove to his former partner as the other way around.

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a match where guys have a hatred…and want to pound each other…but can’t because they’ve also trained together for like a decade and know too much about each other. That was a fun opening

It’s so funny to see the TNA guys as the babyfaces in the two matches tonight. Come a long way in doing what’s right for characters instead of forcing an us vs them every time like Vince would do.

I’m aware but like you said it was very vague and it wasn’t the focal point of the story and it was Wes that brought it up. I’m saying Nash or Wentz should’ve had his own fire to prove something against Wes considering Wes didn’t follow him back to TNA and made a name for himself in NXT.
