G&R ruled until 1995.

G&R actually never ruled, ever, imo

But the fact that they DID rule overrules you. :p They were the biggest band in the world at one point, so they did rule.

Just because they were wildly popular, doesn't make them rule.

You could say that about any big pop star today really

But in the true definition of rule, they ruled. They ruled rock 'n roll and were the biggest band of that era.

What is it precisely you don't like about Guns 'N Roses though? That's one of the bands I never really got people hating (at least before Chinese Democracy) Maybe thinking they were a little overrated or maybe even not liking Axl's voice for some reason, but never understood strongly disliking the band.

Their songs were purely amazing. Rock in the truest sense of the word. Every time I hear a a GNR song on the radio I always crank of the volume and lose myself for a few minutes

Except that in 30 years, nobody will be listening to Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus. People will still be listening to Guns 'N' Roses, which is why they rule.
