Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart in a No DQ match. 1-10-1995. From Coliseum Video's "Brawl in the Family." Bret with a clothesline to Owen's gut and a Russian leg sweep. Bret connects with a standing headbutt. Bret with a sleeper. Bret kicks out of Owen's sharpshooter attempt.

As it's becoming predictable of their No DQ matches, Owen rips the turnbuckle padding while the ref was distracted. Bret with a textbook piledriver. Owen tries a missile dropkick. Bret puts his hands up to block it. Bret grabs both of Owen's legs and catapults him right to the exposed turnbuckle. Bret covers him but Owen was too close to the ropes.

Owen with a well done inside cradle. When he misses a flying headbutt, though, the end is near. Bret puts him in a sharpshooter. Owen taps, but Bret refuses to let go of the hold even after several referees and officials plead with him. Commentator Stan Lane got a few holds wrong, calling Owen's neckbreaker a "neckbender."

Bulldog fights back with successive rights. Owen with a European Uppercut. Owen Irish whips him against the turnbuckles and connects with a stiff clothesline.

As Bulldog runs off the ropes, Owen lifts his knee up to target his abdomen. Bulldog grabs Owen leg and counters with a schoolboy. Owen tries another European Uppercut. Bulldog counters with a backslide. Bulldog ducks down for a bodydrop, Owen picks him up for a piledriver. Owen tries a missile dropkick. Bulldog counters by grabbing both of his legs and wrapping him up in a sharpshooter. Owen escapes and connects with an Enziguiri.

Bulldog is about to use a chair on Owen. Bret runs in to prevent him from trying to do further damage to his brother. Bret cuts a promo about family values and berates the American fans. They reconcile and leave the ring.

Inoki attempts to wear Andre down with body shots and forearm shots to his chest. Inoki ducks Andre's big boot and counters with short kicks to his left leg. Fujinami ducks under Andre's boot attempt and dropkicks him. It's not enough to knock the big man down. Inoki tags back in, and hurts Andre with repeat leg kicks and an Enziguiri which got the crowd roaring!

Andre and Inoki take the fight outside. Neither of them make it back in the ring in-time to beat the ref's count.

Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch vs. Kengo Kimura & Kantaro Hoshino. Hoshino with a side headlock takedown on Murdoch. Adonis with a rear chinlock on Hoahino. Hoshino attempts a cross-body. Adonis catches him in mid-air and scoop slams him. Murdoch with a side headlock takedown on Hoshino. It seems Japanese matches from the 1980's, they used wear down holds such as a side headlock and a rear chinlock. Adonis prevents Hoshino from trying to get to his corner by putting him in a front facelock. Adonis with a single-underhook suplex.

Adonis with a Stun Gun Suplex on Kimura. Adonis bear hugs Hoshino and then converts it into an Inverted Atomic drop. Hoshino peppers Murdoch with jabs and connects with a flying forearm. Murdoch puts Hoshino away with a brainbuster.

Adonis didn't have his "Adorable" gimmick. He had natural black hair and lost a few pounds.

Chris Benoit vs. Steven Regal. 5-3-1993. Benoit with a go-behind and a Full Nelson. Regal tries a go-behind of his own, but Benoit counters with a hammerlock. Regal with an armdrag. He keeps Benoit down with a wristlock.

Regal reverses Benoit's Irish whip. As Benoit runs into the turnbuckle, he tries to head-scissor Regal. Regal simply grabs Benoit's legs and tosses him over the top rope. Regal tries to suplex Benoit back into the ring but Benoit flips over and lands on his feet. Regal stops Benoit's forward rushes with a standing dropkick. Benoit has Regal in a sharpshooter. Benoit climbs the top turnbuckle for a sunset flip, but he flew too high and barely grabbed Regal's legs.

Benoit with a snap suplex and a scoop slam. Defeats Regal with a Dragon suplex.

Ricky Steamboat vs. Steven Regal w/Sir William. Regal is reticent in locking up with Steamboat. He tells the ref to keep Steeamboat away from him. Regal with a three-quarter Nelson and a wristlock. Regal with a single-leg. Steamboat with an armbar and drives successive knees to Regal's lower back. Regal attempts to kip-up but Steamboat doesn't let go of the hold. Steamboat's on his back and is keeping the hold in-place, it looks like an armbar submission. As Regal tosses Steamboat over the top rope, he tries to skin the cat without realizing Sir William is standing next to him. William takes his umbrella and smacks it across Steamboat's abs.

Regal with successive European Uppercuts. Wears Steamboat down with a Million Dollar Dream sleeper. Steamboat with a cross-body and connects with a flying karate chop. Regal tries a backslide and an inside cradle. Regal tries a Tiger driver but only gets a two-count. The time limit has expired. Normally, Steamboat is the one who tries to score a pin as the clock winds down in these TV title matches. But in this match it is Regal who's the aggressor in the closing minutes.

Jimmy Snuka & Tiger Mask II vs. Tommy Rich & Dick Slater. Slater with a side headlock on Snuka. Snuka pushes him against the ropes. Snuka's about to do his double karate thrusts. Slater wisely backs off. Snuka with a stepover toehold. Snuka's positioning for a figure-four but Slater resists. Slater fights back with a standing reverse elbow. Slater tries a move off the top. Snuka picks him for a military press. Snuka with a single-leg grapevine on Slater. Snuka did more than just aerial moves here. He showed some ground game with these single-leg wear-down holds.

Rich tags in but, he too, falls victim to Snuka's single-leg grapevine. Rich with a lariat on Mask II. Slater follows it up with a short kneedrop. Rich comes off the top and connects with a double-axe on Tiger Mask II. As Snuka and Slater are brawling, Mask climbs the top and pins Rich with a flying cross-body. A furious Rich pummels Tiger Mask II after the match is over.

Just re-watched Swerve Strickland v Bryan Danielson.

This match had everything I look for in wrestling. Intensity, high impactful moves, dramatic storytelling and a feel good factor with a ending. This match surpassed the normal criteria and for me has to be up in consideration for the match of the year it was easily a 5-star match and wouldn't be surprised if it did. Was the best match of the night and if that is Danielson's last match what a way to go out.

Windham with a belly-to-back suplex and a gutwrench. Regal surprises him with a schoolboy. Regal with a flying cross-body on Windham, which sends him over-the-top rope, but Regal's foot got tangled on the ropes. Windham gets back into the ring and stuns Regal with an uppercut. (c) Steven Regal vs. Arn Anderson for the TV title. WCW Saturday Night. Regal with a go-behind and a wristlock. Anderson counters with a wristlock of his own. Regal with a front facelock. Anderson wrist flips him. Regal tries a hip-toss; Anderson counters with a Fireman's carry. Regal with a cross-face and reigns palm strikes on Anderson. Regal with a Regal stretch. Anderson connects with a spinebuster but he took six seconds to pin Regal. The time limit has expired.

Usually, TV title matches had a fifteen-minute time limit but this was was only a ten-minute time limit. It was 1996 and the NWO was hot but that wasn't a reason to water down a title match.
