fuck the new pg13 shit. for all of you who keep saying a program doesnt need sex and violence to be entertaining, go fuck yourself. this fucking conservative society is making me sick. sure, you dont NEED violence in order to make something entertaining or whatever. but this is WRESTLINGGG ffs. how are you gonna convince me that an angry wrestler who got beef with another isn't gonna drop a couple of F-bombs every now and then? the nature of the product calls for blood, more swearing and less michael cole. now, im not asking them to start saying fuck a lot but pleeeeeeeeeeeeease give me a fucking break.
Do you see boxers swearing and shit on TV? No.
You don't see blood in every boxing match....
Why shouldn't WWE follow the lead of a 'real' aggression driven sport?
As for the rest of the rant, dude... I'm aware my reasoning may come accross as patronising, but ya wrong - The teenage lust that you are expressing for so-called edgy entertainment will subside. Vince realises this even if you don't.
It's the emotion and such that gives something an edge, not guys with cheesy acting skills unconvincingly using profanity to get their point over.
Re-affirming a point I have made here on numerous occasions, the inclusion of the words "ass" and "crap" will not increase my enjoyment of the product AT ALL, but it will stop parents letting their kids (the future WWE audience) watch WWE-TV.
Regarding blood-shed, we still get it at times when it's likely to 'mean' something(*) so I don't see the problem. If anything I thought it kinda refreshing that HHH wasn't wearing 'a crimson mask' by the end of the EC match.
(*Conversely, did anyone else think that Taker bleading during this year's rumble was totally gratuitous? ...Tie it in with some kind of spot or why bother?)
In relation to your mention of Evolution turning on Orton, yes, it does suck when they edit a clip and lose the essence of it, but it isn't the use of Orton mouthing the word "fuck" that made the moment. If that was acted out in today's climate, Orton would have still reacted with the same EMOTION, simply said something else and the clip would still be used in full; IMPORTANT CONTENT still in tact.
..."Less Michael Cole" would always be welcome tho'.
