Anyone else excited for this game? It's Rockstar so it should be a solid title, and the genre and time frame of the game should keep it interesting.

I'm going to try it because Rockstar has never let me down, but I'm skeptical. It looks like Mafia II and that sucked ass.

That's mainly why I'm giving it the chance. They knocked it out of the park with Red Dead and of course GTA. But they have had some other solid titles like Bully and Manunt over the years.

If they stick to the formula that made GTA and RD successful, and there's a solid story to back up the gameplay it should be solid.

Yeah Rockstar are amazing, so will be buying this. Red Dead is one of the best games I've ever played, let's hope this can be near as good.

Anyone else got this game yet?

If you havn't... In all honesty, I'd suggest renting it. Pretty solid game with a unique investigation/interrogation system, likeable characters, lots of celebrity appearances and an elaborate story (especially towards the end). But with limited customization, linear gameplay and lack of GTA's mayhem-style fun, there is little replay value and almost nothing to do in free roam after the story apart from a few 2-minute street crimes.

Definately worth a playthrough, and another example of Rockstar's uncanny ability to tell a story and plot some interesting character development... But the gameplay, while unique, falls flat due to repetitiveness and linearity.

Yea I'm towards the end right now of the main storyline, and it's a decent game, just lacking in a lot of areas. It get's repetitive real quick, and the fact that they can't really just free roam and do anything besides the 40 side missions takes away from the replay.
