Query: this is the "don't believe you don't know what Jeff's doing" post?
Statement: based on his assumption it was a trap that makes sense that he voted you for voting
How does it make sense? He thought it was a trap and thought I also knew it was a trap and therefore one that I was falling into on purpose?

Yes, but this is irrelevant to your own logic not tracking lol
It doesn't even matter at this point because by know there exists a town-motivated reason for you to keep "pushing" Jeff, in fact it existed back then as well but I just didn't realize it.

Answer: Because he found that behaviours to be intentionally misleading on what he expected from you.

Statement: I understand your logic as well but I think there's grey area where both make sense

Look, if I don't realize that Jeff has that sort of role and am stuck thinking what I was thinking, there's just no town motivation that I can find in you still pushing Jeff and I was getting ready to push that. It's an oversight on my part, end of story.

Ok so what about the contradiction to where he absolutely didn’t believe I didn’t know what Jeff was up to but then accusing me of being pretentious for assuming I figured stuff out before him?

its Almost like he forgot that was a point he made :jade

i mean if you thought it was a trap, would it not be towny for poyser to entice others to vote, so that he also can judge them?

But I don’t think this tracks

WHY is there no town motivation in voting for somebody that wants to be voted? Is the town motivation not “ok this is interesting, let’s see where this goes” or “I don’t really buy this guy, I want answers” or “oh he wants to be voted therefore voting him might result in something positive” or “well he’s locked himself into a certain type of explanation so let’s get it”

there’s literslly tonnes of town motivation for it

what’s the scum motivation exactly?

The thing I was about to push is that Jeff is clearly trying to get voted, very likely for role based reasons, and yet you're here voting him without a care in the world and pretending like this is a wagon that's actually going places. If you're scum in that situation, you got plenty of reasons that you could later give for wagoning Jeff if he comes up with a strong claim, the easiest of which would be "I refuse to get WIFOMd and he shoulda just played his regular town game". It wasn't gonna be the greatest case in the world but I thought you were feigning ignorance and wanted to see what you were up to.

But yeah, I didn't think his role would be the way it is and seem to have missed hints that were already apparent at that time so it makes a lot more sense now.

Jeff did mention wanting more votes when it was just Barry voting him which leads me to believe it’s probably a legit role and not just him pretending to invite votes when suspicion arrived.
