I don’t think it’s that dumb tbh. I explained it earlier, a town/scum mason pairing only benefits scum because you have a town player giving thoughts outside the thread to essentially the scum team only. this could balance it out where scum might get hurt by keeping the player alive. might be a bit of a stretch but this and both being town are the 2 possibilities I see.

it's just overly convoluted when the simple answer is they're town. i dont think smark is confirmed, i just dont think it's something that should be the focus of this day phase at all because of the higher likelihood that they're just town.

It'd be a bold move for Jeff to claim the role he's claiming d1 as scum... but if anyone would do that its Jeff. I'll give him a town lean for now but I'm keeping an eye on him.
Doddsy's PR is far more likely to be definitively town particularly if he's claiming an ambiguous-alignment character (ie its not a fake PR).
Tweet definitely feels like he's flailing. And his opening post (I think it was his first) where he tells Jeff to play properly instead of forcing a bad wagon seems to be TMI.
Smark has honestly felt like town smark, posts seem genuine so town read for you
I don't think Poyser/Tweet are aligned so I'm inclined to read him town since I read Tweet scum.
CP feels more like town CP than last game and nothing's pinging me yet.
Not really seen much regarding Haza that makes me care about him either way but it is interesting that Tweet randomly brought his name up and was even self-conscious enough about it to say he was aware it looked dodgy.

Actually that post is the epitome of fluff, don't like it at ALL.

That's not what I'm implying at all.

I'm saying a scum PR barely ever exists, and if you're going to fake a PR, you're unlikely to do it with a CHARACTER that is not fairly obviously a town character.

IE, Occams Razor implies Doddsy's PR is indeed town and you doing your whole 'for some reason' thing just feels like filler.

Yeah it's super weird - like "My reasons for him are meta so I won't give them... but here is my reason" where the reason he gives is super vague.

Feels like Tweet doesn't have true reasons and is instead trying to create vague fake reasons to feign activity.

Not gonna lie, even though I suss Tweet I'm uncomfortable at how easily this lynch is just cruising along without much contest.
Maybe it's just paranoia but I don't like it when there is such an uncontested lynch on d1.

I did say before that most of his posts are flailing. I don't deny it looks off.

It's still super odd though. The usual plays in this situation as scum are to go for Brutus or to sit quietly given there has been a pretty significant shift away from him at the moment.

I know WIFOM etc but I just struggle Tweet taking the more aggressive route.

So with the duel, I'm a bit confused why when everyone was sussing Brutus earlier, everyone's suddenly basically saying Chimp and Brutus are basically both confirmed town...

I do think there's a solid chance they're both town but I see little reason for the confidence many seem to have. Did I miss something where Brutus all but cleared himself somehow?

I think Chimp is almost certainly town based on play - I struggle to see why scum team should a) force a d1 duel on an unclaimed Brutus [no claim, not a threatening player, at risk of being lynched anyway] and b) Trust Chimp to make it work.

Brutus I'm kind of indifferent on and don't think I would have ended up lynching but clearly there is a decent shot there. Not that I think Chimp should have triggered the duel, but given that he has, I see little reason not to just go along with it.

Also for those wondering why I'm on Tweet's scum list, tbf there was something a while back where he sussed me of something or at least questioned it, honestly I can't remember what it was because I was doing a readthrough at the time and it was meh enough that I just carried on. But there is at least some degree of justification for him scumreading me, albeit I do feel like he's purposefully putting a lot of weak scumreads into his list to make himself look good for having them.

I get this question every d1 and people never seem to remember I seldom throw my vote down willy nilly on D1. I actually dropped it on Tweet pre-Jeff-votes which is uncommon of me tbf.

Lynch Tweet though because it looks like we're running out of time and my vote is needed. I do think he is our best chance of hitting scum at this point and if he is town we're getting lots of info anyway.

Not a massive fan of the Smark wagon as his play hasn't pinged me ftr

Tweet flipping town is interesting and I think we should be looking at his flip and the information around it and his lynch for today. I'm not sure why none of you super-read-back types aren't doing that yet (pls someone do it i really don't want to)

Also i agree with doddsy that the Jeff/Chimp dynamic would be a bit weird if both are town.

Though Chimp shooting randomly doesn't feel scummy and nor does Jeff having a public day kill as he pointed out.

from the start of the game ace goes at alco for being suss(initially for fluff and then disagreeing in regards to jeff). he then votes tweet because poyser is leading that charge and goes along with that.

he votes jeff for the votes thing.

then chimp asks ace why he's not voting anyone and he clarifies he just doesn't vote anyone on day 1 and it's surprising he voted anyone at all given this, but he legit sussed alco the whole time. in particular this interaction with poyser:

through most of this, outside of alco, you literally do not give town reads but hedge a lot. even with tweet you tell him you're not convinced he's scum, but you do want the vig to take him out even though he is a tracker and perhaps that info could have been useful, no? in the chimp/brutus duel you basically say neither look scum to you and you're sure one will flip town.

day 2 starts and you say the tweet wagon should be looked at but you dont do this and hope someone else does it. you again make these hedge posts that aren't reads, but just declaring how guys may not be scum for various reasons(like jeff having to post his role in the thread).


finally poyser votes alco and you announce with excitement that you're happy that someone else finally saw alco as scummy and join the wagon almost immediately. why didn't you vote alco yourself at the start of the phase considering he was your only other scum read outside of tweet and the one you were pushing all game. instead you only vote him AFTER poyser starts the wagon.



so to be 100% clear, @Jeff Valley Driver, ace is not on the right side of things with alco because his words betray his actions. he calls him scum yet doesnt pursue, but happily joins when someone else starts the wagon. again the last time i went pretty far in a game ace did something similar where he immediately joined his teammate's wagon and people said he looked good for it and he had sussed his other teammates as well. ace will not make things happen against his teammates, but will distance himself from them nearly all game.

to be clear, because scum will know anyway, it's clear as shit doddsy is the vig because otherwise he, again, wouldn't just come in and make it clear he has a killing role because otherwise he'd be the 4th person with killing role(including in this situation, the unclaimed vig) making him the prime vig target.

chimp cause of the duel thing i guess and poyser seems positive he's town.
