KingMaker I Game Thread

I'll just come flat out and say it, I'm the kingmaker. I was initially gonna make Big Man king with Smark as a backup because I trust those two to hear everybody out before making a reasonable decision, but then I realized making someone king is a good way to get a read on them as well. So I made Jeff king with Rugrat as a backup to see how they handle being king. I don't have a very good opinion of Jeff as king tbh, he seemed to mostly sit back and let people give him names to pick from without making any particularly strong scum reads himself, seemed like a very low effort phase by him. Seemed like he wanted others to make the decision for him in order to keep his hands clean and it doesn't help that todays result apparently is a town lynch.

So yeah Barry and Smark and whoever else can dislike me all they want but I'm confirmed town. I think I'll make MP king for tomorrow with Alco as backup, now that I've said why I make people king it won't be quite as effective but it's a decent enough way to force their hand.

I think I just explained why I made Jeff king, to get a read on him. I coulda also made a town read king but in my mind having the lynch in the hands of town is more important later in the game the more we approach LyLo. Having town as king means I have someone whose intentions I can trust, but that doesn't necessarily result in a scum lynch d1. Sure, making scum king is almost never gonna result in a scum lynch but it's important to look at the reasons for why the king decided to execute someone. With a town read I can always expect their intentions to be pure (except if the town read is misguided), scum meanwhile will wanna end up lynching town but ideally not take the blame for it.

Pretty lol to whine about a mislynch d1 and already worry about the numbers tbh. Scum didn't kill anyone night 0 and we probably just lost one (1) town, do you think we're in any peril of losing yet?

It doesn't matter if I claim it now or at the start of d2, the way things went it would've been an endless uphill battle to avoid my mislynch tomorrow anyway. Also we're not losing the lynch.

If the strategy is to keep giving the crown to people to get reads, I’m gonna be worried about it.

I also never got the nonchalant attitude about early myslynches. It only takes a couple before we’re behind all game.

I'll be honest I didn't even really look too deeply into Sky allegedly softing a role. I kinda just noticed she made a remark when we talked about the night 0 kill and thought she was the BG, but didn't wanna bring any more attention to it. But then she told us she's not the BG and I don't believe for a second she intended to claim Kingmaker cause she'd get CCed instantly. After rereading I can't say I've found any softs except for one role I can think of and somehow I don't believe that one's in the game at all.

I guess Sky can claim tomorrow and direct us to those softs, we can judge if they make any sense and if we wanna lynch her or not then.

You are a Villager. Innocent aligned. You win with the town.
- You are eligible to become king, however during the days you cannot cast a vote to lynch. That decision rests solely with the person chosen to become king. You may do your best to convince the king for the day to kill someone you suspect, however.
- If the Kingmaker should die at any point in the game, you are also eligible to become randomly chosen as his replacement.

It is now Night 1. I'm not good with the need of deadlines, so 24-hours or so?​

Well if Barry reps back in at least we can cut out all the back and forth that would've went on between us if I weren't the Kingmaker. Can't say I'm sorry for helping in getting you lynched though, you really gotta stop shooting yourself and your alignment in the foot like that.
