Apparantly now wanting to be known as the Pal World Order, this group of individuals are seemingly unhappy with their incredibly successful prediction careers never having led them to becoming the World Prediction Champion, and appear to be banding together in an attempt to ensure that one of them becomes the first ever Wrestling Smarks King of the Ring. Earning that individual a one-on-one shot at the World Prediction Championship in the process.
This alliance may proove fruitful for those involved as Jimmy King, Raidokken and Chris are all the top ranked seeds in their quadrants of the bracket. In fact Jimmy King is the top ranked seed in the entire competetion....
Looking beyond this alliance though, lets take a look at the bracket itself:
In the bottom left of the bracket we can see that the most successful quadrant of the tournament features three former World Prediction Champions! This quadrant will also see what is likely to be the match of the first round going down between former World Prediction Champions Blaze and Doom. Both of these individuals know what it feels like to hold the gold and both will be going all out to ensure that they are the ones crowned King of the Ring.
The other match in that quadrant sees the relative newcome to the competition in Lady Hot Rod taking on the most successful World Prediction Champion of all time in OMB. OMB will be looking to get back into the winning circle after loosing the title last time out while Lady Hot Rod will undoubtedly be looking to prove that she has what it takes to win the entire tournament by derailing the person with the most successful World Prediction Championship defenses of all time.
The top left quadrant of the bracket includes not only the number one seed (and member of the pWo?) Jimmy King taking on the Owner and CEO of Wresting Smarks; God, but also the reigning World Prediction Champion Davey Wrestling taking on number 9 seed Grim. Are we going to see the most consistant predictor to never win the title, Jimmy King, go one-on-one with the World Prediction Champion in round 2? We'll have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, in the bottom-right quadrant we will see number 3 seed and instigator of the pWo movement himself; Chris, square off with the number 14 seeded HoHo, on the way to a possible second round match with a former World Prediction Champion.... the first and longest reigning World Prediction Champion of all time no less; Booty, who will begin his own King of the Ring journey by squaring off with Monday Night Mitch. While Mitch no-showed his last match surely the promise of King of the Ring glory will see him show up and going full bore here?
Lastly, but by no means least, in what can only be described as the dark horse portion of the bracket, the top-right quadrant is the only quadrant to feature nobody that has held the World Prediction title.... that will be true at the tournaments opening bell at least.
This quadrant will see first round matches between The EC and Sky and also another founding member of the pWo and number 2 seed Raidokken taking on Petty Timberlake. Could the least decorated quadrant of the bracket be the one to give us our first ever Wrestling Smarks King of the Ring? Only time will tell.
For now, we're just going to have to wait until tommorow evening when the Slammiversary prediction thread is posted to get some idea of how this competition is going to progress.
