Immortal presents: Fastlane V
Live from the Little Caesars Arena - Detroit, MN
Kane (Jax) vs. Shelton Benjamin (Mitch)
Winner:
Shelton Benjamin in 8:49 - in a fairly lame match overall, Kane twists his ankle early on, slowing down the action dramatically. Benjamin would have hoped to be able to show off his skill more, rather than just wear the giant down. He's merciful enough to slap on the Ankle Lock to finish it off.
Rating: *1/2
Weapons Warfare - Brian Cage (Carter) vs. Psycho Killer (OMB)
Winner:
Brian Cage in 23:38 - this gets extra time after the Kane/Benjamin issues and uses it well. A raised platform of four ladders and two tables sees the finish, with Cage hitting Psycho Killer with Weapon X on that platform, and then tossing him through a flaming table to the outside. He doesn't even need to pin him - the referee recognises that Psycho Killer has been killed. Who can stop the path of Cage?! (Note: the flaming table wasn't even meant to be flaming, it was a byproduct of the Inferno Match fire test.)
Rating: ****1/4
Tag Team Championship (vacant) Inferno Match - Ric Flair/Mr. Perfect (Grim/Blaze) vs. Team Impact Zone (Brian Knobbs/Orlando Jordan) (Sky/Sky)
Winner:
Flair/Perfect in 9:03 after a bizarre finish. Perfect incapacitates Knobbs in the corner whilst Flair is dealing with Jordan, and gives him a chop to the throat. Devastated that his prized deepthroating technique is now ruined, Jordan is badly thrown off, allowing Flair an opportunity to toss him into the flames. His tights are set on fire (that's what I call hot pants).

Immortal Championship #1 Contender Six-Way Elimination Match - Kevin Owens (Jimmy King) vs. Nick Aldis (Dmac) vs. Dusty Rhodes (Blaze) vs. Simon Miller (Kamala) vs. Wade Barrett (Dmac) vs. Val Venis (Haza)
6th place:
Wade Barrett in 4:19 - a judo chop from Simon Miller hits Barrett's little friend, and a roll-up from Val Venis takes the Bearer of Bad News out...
5th place:
Val Venis in 4:32 - ...but Venis turns around straight into a pop-up powerbomb from Kevin Owens!!
4th place:
Dusty Rhodes in 12:47 - Kevin Owens tosses Aldis to the outside and Dusty tries to go for a Bionic Elbow on the steel steps. However, Owens manages to catch him and hit a Stunner.
3rd place:
Nick Aldis in 13:31 - Simon Miller tosses Aldis back into the ring to meet with a Superkick from Owens - but it misses, and Aldis is able to land a Tormentum. Miller then pulls out the wing mirror from a 1992 Chevy Blazer, and clocks Aldis with it!
2nd place:
Simon Miller in 15:10 - After a brief battle, a Stunner and pop-up powerbomb mean Miller's done.
Winner:
Kevin Owens in 15:10.
Rating: ***
Intercontinental Championship - Daniel Bryan (c) (Jimmy King) vs. Peyton Royce (Steph)
Winner:
Peyton Royce in 5:44 - Daniel Bryan will be ruing this mistake for the rest of his days. After dominating Peyton for 5 minutes solid, he hits a running knee and puts on the Yes Lock. With a free hand, he begins to slap the mat to get the crowd warmed up... and the referee calls for the bell! Turns out Peyton had her legs around Bryan's waist, and the referee counted that as a bodyscissors submission! Royce wins the IC Title!! What the fuck?!
Rating: anything can happen in the KSL
Team Al-QaeDAH (King Booker/B.A.G.) (Haza/Juice) vs. Masked Menaces (Lince Dorado/Pentagon Jr.) (Ingo/Carter)
Winner:
Masked Menaces in 11:09 - this is sort of, but not quite two matches. Penta and B.A.G. brawl on the outside throughout, making this entirely a singles bout between Lince Dorado and King Booker. Eventually, Lince takes it with a top rope Frankensteiner pin.
Rating: ****1/4 for the match, ***3/4 for the brawl
Non-Binary Championship - Honky Tonk Man (c) (LadyHotRod) vs. The Fabulous Moolah (KIF)
Winner:
The Fabulous Moolah by count-out in 7:53 - Honky attempts to low-blow Moolah, which fails for reasons that everyone but Lacey Von Erich knows. Moolah interprets this as a sexual advance and plants a kiss on Honky, to which he responds by pulling her off and knocking her out against an exposed turnbuckle. Technically, he's got two charges of assault against him now, so he leaves, losing the match but keeping the title.
Rating: **1/4
Battle for the Iron Claw No DQ - Lacey Von Erich (Sky) vs. Baron Von Raschke
Winner:
Lacey Von Erich in 14:38 - this is intense, y'all. A mix of old school style and whatever in God's name Lacey is doing. Eventually the Baron has Lacey in the Iron Claw when Brian Knobbs and a now-nude Orlando Jordan rush the ring! At the sight of the perfectly-preened, gender-blending nudity of Orlando Jordan, Baron Von Raschke starts to gag, and the combined trauma of that and Lacey's own Iron Claw causes him to verbally quit. Lacey has retained the right to the Claw for the Von Erich family!

Immortal Championship Fastlane Match (5-Way, 35-Minute Championship Scramble) - Undertaker (c) (Chris) vs. Asuka (Grim) vs. Muhammad Hassan (Haza) vs. Roddy Piper (Blaze) vs. John Cena (Jimmy King)
Entry 1: Roddy Piper at 0:00
Entry 2: Asuka at 0:00
Change 1:
Asuka at 4:21, after Piper taps to the Asuka Lock.
Entry 3: Undertaker at 5:00
Entry 4: John Cena at 10:00
Change 2:
Undertaker at 12:32, after hitting Piper with a Tombstone.
Change 3:
John Cena at 13:48, after hitting Taker with a top rope F-U.
Entry 5: Muhammad Hassan at 15:00
Change 4:
Muhammad Hassan at 28:32, after hitting Piper with a piledriver on the steel steps.
Change 5:
Undertaker at 32:19, after giving Asuka a chokeslam through a table. He drags her back into the ring to score a pin, then tosses her right out again.
As the last minute begins, the only wrestlers still in the ring are Taker, and a badly beaten, broken Piper... Asuka is on the outside, and Cena and Hassan are in the debris of two international announce tables (Hassan is in the Arabic table, and they're praising him for his martyrdom). Just then...
TEAM IMPACT ZONE COME OUT!! The three of them stare down Undertaker, with Brian Knobbs removing his sunglasses to reveal a look of determined rage... While Taker isn't looking, Piper gets up and locks in the sleeper... Taker's out! The referee checks him... and his arm falls for the third time, on the VERY LAST SECOND of the match!!
Change 6:
Roddy Piper at 34:59
Winner:
Roddy Piper in 35:00.
Rating: *****3/4
Knobbs rushes right into the ring and attacks the unconscious Undertaker, followed by Jordan and Lacey! The three members in two sets of ring gear brutalise the seemingly-dead Deadman, before posing over his prone body. Piper, clutching the Immortal Championship, has no idea what to make of this, and where this is going... but Taker, when he wakes up, will have a lot on his plate for WrestleMania...!
(Elimination Chamber coming soon. The finish to the main event was Ingo's idea.)
