I'm a big Kevin Smith fan. Clerks is in my top 5 favorite movies of all-time. Just a classic film that captures the essence of the 90's. I've been a fan of all of his movies.

Mallrats was great because of Jason Lee's Brodie character.

Chasing Amy was, I think, Ben Affleck's best performance in a movie up until The Town came out.

Dogma was funny and I enjoyed it although I'm not big on preachiness. I'm a Christian, don't get me wrong, but I don't like up in your face Christian-ness although the film did have a lot of interesting ideas in it.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was a very fun movie with those two lovable oafs finally getting their own film and Will Ferrell stole the whole damn movie as he often tends to do.

Jersey Girl, like others have said, get's a bad rap. George Carlin was excellent in the movie. Is it predictable? Yes but is it enjoyable nonetheless? Yes.

Clerks II was like his redemption I believe for making a Hollywood-type film. Jeff Anderson knocked it out of the ballpark in this film as Randal and took it to a whole other level, especially in the jail scene. It's a shame he doesn't act more often. Also, Trevor Fehrman was a riot as the sheltered Elias.

Zack and Miri Make A Porno was really funny to me because I'm a big Seth Rogen fan but the person who stole the show was Craig Robinson as Delaney. He was hysterical. I enjoy seeing him in anything he's in. The movie also had a lot of heart and really captured what it's like to have love staring you right in the face but being too blind to see it.

Cop Out I didn't care for because it wasn't his movie, you know? He didn't write it and it shows. Bruce Willis seemed to be phoning it in and, besides 30 Rock, I find Tracy Morgan taxating on the nerves.

Red State was a whole different thing. I really liked it. I thought it was a different kind of monster for Kevin to tackle and he did a good job with it. As someone who finds the Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church to be horrible, disgusting, vile people it was nice to see a mock-up of their likeness. Michael Parks was absolutely haunting as Pastor Abin Cooper as well. Got snubbed an Oscar nomination IMO.

I'm really looking forward to Hit Somebody as it's supposedly Kevin's final opus and he's officially giving up directing films. It's a shame I'd love to see a Clerks III but, it is what it is. I really enjoy his library of work and will continue to watch them for a long time.
