Season One - Episode 008

The eighth episode of the season would see competitors of the Viking Conference compete in what would be the fourth round of matches. Viewers would be reminded that now that NXT had returned to the NXT Studio that two men would once again, earn a bonus of $1,000 for ‘Fight of the Night’.

Finish: The young talent Starboy Charlie would continue to show his future promise - but Jordan Oliver would simply be that much better and would claim the victory by springing off the ropes and connecting with the Clout Cutter to claim his fourth win and maintain his win streak.

Finish: Comorotto would absolutely dominate Jordan Clearwater and throw him around the rings like a ragdoll and was making real mince of him. Unfortunately, Clearwater ends up colliding with the turnbuckle at a strange angle and would fall out of the ring and land awkwardly on his right leg and would twist it in the wrong direction that would result in the referee ending the match immediately via medical stoppage giving Comorotto the win.

- Later on in the evening it would be revealed that Clearwater had torn his ACL and would be out of action for the rest of the season - resulting in his remaining opponents Anthony Ogogo, Shawn Dean and Starboy Charlie all given wins by default. It would also mean Jordan Clearwater would end Season One, without picking up a single victory.

- Mason Ryan would make it clear that he thought that the entire Gunn Show was an absolute joke, but that he had no interest in laying hands on a dinosaur like Billy Gunn because there was nothing to gain from putting an old man back on the shelf where he belonged. Ryan would make it clear that if he was going to defend the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship against someone, he wanted to send a message that would mean that no one in the business would underestimate him ever again. He would make it clear that he intended on ending the young career of none other than Austin Gunn and would confirm that after having a meeting with NWA Commissioner Chris Van Vliet he would defend the belt at the Great American Bash.

Finish: Navarro would be left looking like a bum by Anthony Oggo, with the British star throwing KC up into the air and knocking out with The Guv'nor's Hammer (Pop-up hook) for the easiest victory of the evening.

Finish: The match between Kane and Dean was absolutely fantastic and therefore it wasn’t all surprising that it would end up being labeled as ‘Fight of the Night’ with the match between an intense exchange of hard hitting and high impact moves, with Shawn Dean claiming the win by pummeling Kane with the Sitout Spinebuster to pick up the victory.

- Myron Reed would cut another angry promo in which he would make it clear how disappointed he was to have not been contacted by promotions from all around the world. Nothing from NJPW, AWA, AEW, ROH or TNA - and yet losers like Alan Angels had somewhere to call home once this season of NXT was all said and done. However - he would reveal that one company had shown interest or rather one man had and that was Dr. Wagner, Jr. the current main man of AAA and that he had been promised a contract with AAA once NXT: Season One was over and had accepted the offer with open hands - before pulling off his hoodie and revealing an Escalera Real t-shirt, with it seeming that Myron Reed had officially joined the Rudo Stable. ​

AEW and ROH have agreed to trade The Acclaimed to AEW in exchange for a talent that will be announced in a couple weeks.
