It's really heartwarming to see that you guys like the card for Destination X. Juice and Smark helped me out a ton with it.

Episode 003

Pat McAfee would welcome the fans to the third week of AWA being on air, as the promotion was now in Minneapolis from the 3M Arena at Mariucci. McAfee would inform the viewers that the second set of first round matches in the AWA World Heavyweight Championship would take place tonight as well as revealing that three contests involving women of the American Wrestling Alliance would take place on what he promised to be a stacked show in Minneapolis.

Finish: The night’s opening match would prove to be a tasty contest with Rhea and Kairi pushing the other to the limit and making it clear that AWA was very much a strong citadel for women’s wrestling and both combatants could have claimed the win at various points throughout the contest. The match would end with Ripley nailing Hojo with the Riptide (Pumphandle Powerbomb), with Kairi unable to break the count in time but looking massively disappointed in the aftermath.

- After the contest, Asuka would slide into the ring and proceed to grab hold of Rhea with the pair slugging each other with hard shots with it being apparent that Ripley was full of energy and ready to go again. Before either party was able gain an advantage, Kairi would push herself up and nail Ripley in the back of the head with stiff Karate Kick that would catch Ripley off guard dropping her to the mat - as Asuka and Kairi would exit the ring and look very pleased with themselves as Ripley would look at them with clear anger as the duo would make their way towards the back.

- Keith Lee would cut a promo backstage where he would make it clear in a very candid and humble tone that he was not a man who made predictions, but instead he had experienced a revelation so obvious that it would be hard for anyone else to discount it. A revelation that he was going to win the tournament, the whole damn thing and by doing so take home the AWA World Heavyweight Championship and claim his rightful position as the face of the American Wrestling Association.

Finish: Druganov would put on a fierce contest and would certainly impress the fans in attendance at the 3M Arena, but it would be New Day’s Big E that would shine through and pick up the win as he would be cheered on at ringside by Kofi and Xavier - as an incensed MVP was watching on at the commentary table pleased annoyed as what he was witnessing and would end up slamming his headphones onto the floor when Big E would bring the match to a finish when he would connect with the Big Ending.

- Bryan Danielson would cut a promo in which he would make it clear that the tournament for the World Heavyweight Title was very important to him on a personal level and that a win over Austin Theory had been an important first step in his journey. Bryan would talk about his injury history and how it had been a tough period of his life where he had been forced to give up his title after title because of it, and he had never been fully satisfied all these years later. This tournament, though, offered him a chance to finally show everyone that he still had what it takes to be the very best in the business.

Finish: In a fierce and fast paced contest, Blackheart and Sakazaki would compete without any real pause in an adrenaline fuelled contest in which Shotzi would bring to a finish by hitting Yuka with the Tiger Suplex to open up her account in style.

Finish: Cesaro and Nakamura would feature in a contest that was of extremely high quality and could easily have been a main-event contest and it was clear from the fan’s response that they loved every minute of it. The match would end almost unexpectedly as Nakamura would catch Cesaro out with the Kinshasa before rolling up Cesaro to claim the W.

- Brian Pillman, Jr. would feature in a short promo where he would express his disappointment of having lost to Danielson on the first ever of Friday Night Firefight, but would make it clear that he wasn’t angered by the loss but had accepted that he had simply been outwrestled, but that he fully intended to bounce back one way or another.

Finish: The New Day and The HURT Business had no love for each and that would show throughout the contest, with both teams clearly motivated to get the win over the other although the HURT would look to bend the rules at every chance they got, Kingston and Woods would place fair and remain comical that would prove to keep them on side with the fans and the popular pairing would claim the win by hitting Alexander with UpUpDownDown (Diving double foot stomp/pendulum backbreaker combination).

Finish: The contest between Cross and Rhodes would be an incredibly one way contest with Cross dominating out throughout and ending the match with the Hail Storm (Diving headbutt) with the particular move not having been seen since Nikki had been in the indies prior to signing with the WWE with Cross looking truly deadly from bell to bell.

Finish: TJP would feature in a wily attempt at getting the best of Keith Lee, but his opponent of larger stature and sheer domineering strength would prove to be a tough mountain to climb not that it would stop TJP from pulling the very best that his arsenal had to offer with some fast paced and high aerial moves that would test Keith Lee, until Lee would eventually bring the match to the finish as he would hit TJP with the Spirit Bomb to book him a place in the next round of the tournament.

- After the match, Lee would add insult to injury and take of TJP in a post-match attack in which he would end up totally decimating TJP by hitting him with multiple Belly-to-Belly Suplexes with clear intent that he was a force to be reckoned with. After the unnecessary beatdown, Keith would just offer the cameras a charming smile before heading to the back.

Bryan Danielson would feature in a second promo of the evening, this time in the corridor backstage and make it clear that he was glad that Pillman, Jr. was still motivated and would agree with what his opponent form a fortnight had said in they had taken part in a great contest and would say that Pillman, Jr. just like Theory had offered him great competition and that he hoped that every match in the tournament would be fought with the same valor and passion, so that winning the world title would be that much sweeter and it was clear that he greatly desired to win the AWA World Heavyweight Championship.

Finish: Priester and WALTER would feature in a magnificent contest that would close the night with both men pushing each other to their limit and WALTER almost losing the match on a number of occasions if not for being in reach of the ropes to keep him in the contest. The Austrian would claim the victory by driving through Priest with the Burning Lariat only to drag his opponent up only to deliver him back down to the canvas with a brutal Golden Bomb to seal his advancement to the next round.

The show would come a conclusion from the office of General Manager Adam Pearce where he would be joined by his assistant Paige where he would reveal the official tournament bracket for the finals of the AWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament this Sunday at AWA Aces High, with the company remaining in Minneapolis as the PPV would take place at the Target Center.
