JR Retires

Can anyone post the back story as to why Vince hates JR so much? Going from on-air mocking of his disease to firing the guy for no reason baffles me.

He made fun of JR's colon surgery in 2005 as well.

I've heard that Vince just dislikes how southern JR is on-screen. Some (Jim Cornette and a couple of others) have talked about how Vince likes to patronize southern people at times. Just listen to how he sometimes pronounces Wrestling as 'Wrassling' (especially when wanting to take a shot at Ted Turner, who once called Vince and told him he was in the "wrassling business", to which Vince replied "I'm in the entertainment business.")
