Former independent wrestling star Jon Moxley is now going under the name Dean Ambrose in WWE developmental. He has been added to FCW’s roster page.

That is about as generic as it gets.

Sounds like a race car driver to me to be honest. But never the less, take it with a grain of salt, as the development name hardly ever carries on to the main roster. But then again, sometimes it gets worse...so, we'll see.

Exactly!

Remember when wrestlers had names that stood out?

Like last names like Storm, Powers, Action and stuff. Now it's just boring generic names, sort of like wrestling in general.

To me, the name doesn't matter as much anymore. These generic names used to shit me, but when you think about it, we're all used to it now. Everybody used to rag on how lame Dolph Ziggler's name is, and it still is, but has it not grown on us? Also Mason Ryan, when people first heard of him I remember there being a "why does he have 2 first names", yet now we all seem to be sweet with it.

In the end, all these generic names eventually grow on us and we no longer care.

If I was a wrestler I would want my name to be Hugh Handsome.

It is better and more original then changing someones first and last name around. As well it is not goofy, wonder if we will see him on NXT anytime soon.

I prefer it when they have ridiculous names like The Rock, Kane, The Undertaker, Diesel. Names that wouldn't work in normal life but work in an entertainment setting. Having the same name as any random in the crowd is just lazy and boring.

How long does everyone think he will stay in FCW for? Will he get the one year treatment like a few other big name indy stars got or will he get a quick promotion up to the main roster?

I think that he will be in FCW for some time so that WWE can get him to work their style. It will be like Seth Rollins/Tyler Black who has been in developmental for close to a year.

I think he will be in FCW for a while as well. He needs to learn the WWE style on the mic as well. He is very indy and free spirited needs to brush that up.
