That's fucking embarrassing... seriously. It looks like something that should be on the Jerry Springer show, not an MMA media day.
Both men should seriously be ashamed of themselves after watching this. It's things like this that gives MMA more negative publicity than it already has.

I'd definitely put a lot more blame on Jones though. He got in his face, Cormier shoved him (maybe that shouldn't have happened either, but it's certainly not the first time that has happened during a staredown) and it should have went no further than that but Jones absolutely freaked out and charged and started throwing punches.
People say it's a publicity stunt, but it's going to bit far to be just a publicity stunt, I think. Punches thrown, other people getting involved, shit getting destroyed.

It doesn't matter whose fault it is, they're both grown men on top of being professional fighters keyword being professional. Both should know much better then to resort to this BS, I imagine Dana isn't gonna be too happy about this.

So if it was Cormier on the other end and Jones was the one who shoved it'd make it any more justified?
Like I said, they're both grown men and professional fighters. Fighters get nose to nose all the time, Jones even did it with Rashad and he didn't shove Jones. Rampage got fined for shoving King Mo at the weigh ins and this should be met with something along the same lines.
When did I say it would be more justified? It wouldn't. In that case it would be Cormier who really fucked up, but as it is it was Jones who went after him and not the other way around.
But yeah, there's definitely going to be a fine involved I would think. Would probably be a suspension or a release if this were two lesser fighters though.
I imagine Cormier will get off with a regular fine. After all, he's the one who initiated it all with the shove.

Which is ridiculous. I would much rather watch a fight that uses fighter skill sets to sell their fight than a rather childish feud.

Yeah but we don't know how long it was before the video was filmed. I know usually after a heated moment I calm down pretty quickly, I've also had a lot of time in therapy for anger management.
