John Cena no shows event, and Big Show returns

It was announced before last night’s WWE live event in Oakland that John Cena would not be able to make it. Justin Roberts offered refunds to fans.

This led to Big Show making his return to the ring. He defeated Rob Van Dam, Ryback, Justin Gabriel, Curtis Axel, Mark Henry, Wade Barrett, Christian, The Usos, The Miz and The Shield in a battle royal to earn a shot at Alberto Del Rio later on. Show ended up beating Del Rio by DQ when Del Rio used a steel chair.

So apparently the story is that Cena was seen in the Bay Area earlier that day, but no showed the event. It is still unknown why Cena wasn't there. Seems like it wasn't expected though because it sounds like from recent reports that Big Show wasn't read to return but due to Cena not being there, they had to pull something out and Big Show had to work.

Wonder why he wasn't there, and if this means Big Show will be back on TV soon. Also find it weird that WWE offered refunds for ONE guy being gone. Granted he is the top star, but don't they put out a disclaimer saying that the card is subject to change?

Wasn't any transportation problem. Cena was seen in the area that morning and day.

Also he could have been at the gym and got stuck in traffic. Something could have occurred that he or WWE doesn't want disclosed it's only a story because people want to make it a story.

There is still no word on why he didn't appear at the event but we have confirmed that he was in the bay area (San Francisco) earlier in the day. Also, Javier Lorenzo sent this one in: Hey Ryan. it's weird that John Cena didn't show up in Oakland because he was in the bay area during the day. I had the chance to take a picture with him yesterday at the San Francisco airport.

I've seen the report on almost every wrestling site saying that he was seen.

Oakland and San Fran aren't the same place, its not that simple at all. People call it the Bay Area but they are separate. Any number of things could happen from a emergency to a simple bait and switch with that elbow of his. Its like people saying on Rock no showed, when he was at a doctor beign examined, a dirt sheet trying to pull a story off a guy who can and will attract a buzz
