WWE.com has just gotten word that John Cena has been involved in an automobile accident in Philadelphia. The SUV the WWE Superstar was traveling in was reportedly rear ended by a tractor trailer. Police arrived at the scene and no immediate injuries were reported.

Cena is scheduled to meet with WWE medical personnel when he arrives at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center for tonight’s WWE Raw SuperShow event.

In less than two weeks, Cena will face The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII in the most anticipated bout in WWE history. The effect this accident will have on the Cenation leader remains to be seen. WWE.com will stay with this story as it develops.

From wwe.com

Sorry if I trolled the seriousness of this but errrr

Since wwe.com first reported this, I could see this end up being part of a storyline. I've heard reports of Miz and Cena feud after Mania so maybe it will come out that Miz did it?

Seriously what is the point. I hope to god WWE is not going down the road of making Cena look hella weak before Mania then have him overcome the odds, PLEASE for the love of god no.

WWE Insider tweeted that, paraphrased of course, Cena was seen "holding his neck" after the incident but insists he's really fine.

Aha sort of cringing at where this is going but we'll see.

I can't decide if this was legit or not. WWE.com breaking the story makes it really iffy, but would they go through all this trouble?

Is it wrong that I got excited hoping Cena was actually hurt?

Normally, I wouldn't say so because that would mean WWE would probably see how ridiculously bad the rest of the roster has been built up, and they would probably start building some of those guys up because they realize Cena and Orton can't always be there. But now, with WrestleMania just a few weeks away, I'd hate if Cena got legit hurt.

Guess it's quite likely that he got rammed by someone, as he hangs in the hood all the time.

:fp:

Yeah I don't see TMZ being the outlet they'd want to go to to break this. Not to mention that it would serve no purpose.

Docs say he's medically cleared to compete but I think that what will eventually happen is he won't be allowed to compete tonight as the doc said he was gonna check on him one more time before the match.

It's real but not anything serious, just a minor rear end with little damage on the car. No big deal and WWE are just using what they can out of it.
