- WWE's last unofficial offer to Jeff Hardy before he went to TNA had a $750,000 downside where he would only have to work 65 dates a year, giving him the biggest break on the Schedule out of any WWE stars, including Shawn Michaels.

Obviously Hardy turned the deal down as he was upset that nobody backed him after his drug arrest and he was upset over the promos that WWE had CM Punk cut on him after he left the company. The feeling was that Hardy wasn't with the company at the time and the promos from Punk weren't business as they weren't used to build a match.

It's believed that Hardy would have been a lock for TNA World Champion over Rob Van Dam if it weren't for his court case that's still up in the air.

Try the news section next time please, thats where all the news/rumors are posted

EDIT: nevermind, it was moved. Anyways I agree, Hardy should have taken that deal but I guess he didn't feel WWE was the right place for him anymore. Its too bad TNA didn't hype his debut better, he could have made as big an impact as Kurt Angle if they built it up correctly, but they didn't.

Got it covered there buddy. And watch the language in the thread titles.

Anyway. 65 dates for 3/4 of a mill? Sounds like a pretty damn sweet deal.

That's sad, but considering how Jeff's always wanted to be artistic and creative I could see why he wouldn't want to work with the WWE. They're not really in it for the business anymore it seems like. Well TNA is really showing the lack of spirit WWE has, that's for sure. I'm sure his prior contract was better then this one. Jeff Hardy is a big name, he sells tickets and roars crowds every god damn time

$750,000 is honestly pennies compared to what most of the main event talent makes. Batista, Cena, Orton, HHH and Taker all make in the millions per year. Though for only working two months out of the year it seems damn fair.
I'm sure he can't be making much more than $200,000 per in TNA.

Those guys also work 100 and some nights a year. I doubt Batista or Orton make twice that.

But I also agree, Hardy is pretty dumb to go to TNA over this deal. Sometimes, you just need to swallow your pride. Especially when money like this is on the line.

Well, believe it. Guys like Orton and Tista make in the neighborhood of $2 mill a year.

Go take your money and shove it up your ass. Hardy made his money from WWE a long time ago. He's paid his dues many times over and there is simply nothing more too prove. There is nothing more to prove NOT because Hardy lacks talent mind you, but because WWE creative had him doing the same match every fucking night Why would Hardy want to go back to an organization that doesn't have his back when he makes a mistake?? Does that sound like the kind of team you would want to be part of??? Why would Hardy be part of a 'universe' whose fans refer to him as 'fat' or 'meth-head'. These so called fans sure have an odd way of showing their appreciation to a wrestler who has given so much. I've said it in another thread and it bears repeating here. Jeff Hardy has moved on...so why can't WWE 'fans' do the same??

You sure have a nice way of reading into things. Sure, WWE is the evil here. They didn't have the guy's back. I mean, sure, even though he failed 2 drug tests embarrasing the company even more in a time when they were being escrutinized by the public eye they still pushed him to main event stardom. But yeah, I mean, you're right. Jeff Hardy should be mad at WWE because when he makes a little "mistake" like getting caught with that shitload of drugs in his appartment they didn't have his back, you know, because they should have, I mean, he wasn't even working with them anymore and he had left the company without a guy they had spent 2 years building and whom they had given opportunity after opportunity in the past.

And, give me a break, nothing more to prove. How about proving that you're dependable and a trustable worker. In TNA all he has showned is that with freedom and creativity in his character, he's a complete mess.

Well, Spike would be footing the bill, so it would probably be be very close to that. He works in the same place each week, only moving for like each PPV out of Orlando. Maybe he was sick of the constant traveling with WWE.

Since when does not taking money make you a moron? He doesn't like what WWE did with him after he left. He apparently didn't like it when he was there or he wouldn't have left. His health could have been a factor as well. Shame on Jeff.
