Bryan Alvarez noted on the Bryan & Vinny & Jonathan Show that plans changed after concerns were raised about Jeff following the Hardys vs. Young Bucks match at Double or Nothing.

"The idea was the Hardys were going to win the tag titles in this ladder match, that was the plan for awhile," Alvarez said. "Apparently, at the pay-per-view when the Hardys and the Bucks had their match, Jeff was not looking good. Apparently, they examined him afterwards and he was all beat up and he didn't remember the match."

"Remember when Jeff got pulled over and said he was on his way to a brain scan? He was on his way to a brain scan. So, his idea was to drink whatever he drank and then drive to his brain scan."

"They had advertised the ladder match. He was never actually going to be in the ladder match. They were going to do the angle where he and Matt were going to be coming out for the ladder match, they were going to be jumped on the ramp and they were going to be carted off and they weren't actually going to do the match. So, whether he had his DUI or not, Jeff was never going to do that ladder match. It was always going to be Jurassic Express vs. the Young Bucks for the tag team titles with the Young Bucks winning."

"The Hardys were going to be in the ladder match but then after they scheduled him for the brain scan, he wasn't going to be in the ladder match."

I don't want to be that guy, but there's got to be a little accountability on head issues in all companies. Some very off looking bumps at times and I would absolute hate for another C.B event to occur.

It's almost like booking a guy to do dumb gimmick matches and letting a guy do this insanely stupid bumps, would lead to this.

Wasn't the ladder match booked after DoN? If so, that makes shit even more ridiculous. Evidently they wanted to get The Bucks strapped up pretty quickly, but I think they shoulda thought things out better.

not to make excuses ratings wise but the night overall was the lowest tv ratings since like july 4th 2021 overall and Dynamite still finished second with those very crap numbers. strange night in general for tv viewing.

this is an explanation not an excuse

edit: also I take it back TNT, hockey playoffs are a draw

Like I said before… only in wrestling can your sins be forgiven like this because you still have something to offer as a wrestler.
This is the sad part…

Jeff Hardy is going to be given another chance by someone. Because he’s Jeff Hardy and he sells merch, and he’s over.

Everyone is enabling him to an extent. Because the people in charge will sweep this under the rug. The fans will forget everything once his music hits. His family will put out statements but not actually do anything.

I dont think sending him to rehab is really sweeping this under the rug. Not yet at least. I'll reserve judgement until he actually comes back or not. He's still an AEW employee at this time.

That's leaving out the fact he could still do like 30 days in jail at minimum if convicted

How many times has Jeff Hardy been offered rehab? AEW, WWE,TNA? At this point just fire him. He’s a liability

I disagree but understand your sentiment. I don't think firing him without offering rehab is productive or fair when you made the decision to hire him in the first place. As I said though, I will reserve judgement on what capacity he is brought back for, if any, once the time comes.
