Jay Lethal's future with TNA is in doubt as the company still haven't decided what to do with him creatively. When Hogan and Bischoff came in they had no plan to continue his Black Machismo legends storyline, and seem to have overlooked him ever since.

Things worsened for the young star this week when the Nasty Boys of all people reportedly mocked him backstage in a tone that suggested he was tarnishing Randy Savage's legacy. Saggs openly pondered how long the company would keep him around.

On the Bubba The Love Sponge show Hogan showed little interest in the Machismo character, flippantly commenting that "maybe we should bring Savage in to manage him".

I've always liked Jay Lethal but haven't cared much for the Machismo character. Some of his promos were funny at times, but it never really helped him stand apart as his own character. I do hope they repackage him but Hogan would be a dumbass to let him.

I actually would like for Lethal to lose to those legends for a couple more months and eventually start winning and turn mega-heel. Once heel Hogan should bring in Savage and they could have a short storyline.

Of course that is a dream but it would be cool if it
actually happened.

In reality, I agree that the should repackage him with new everything. Do a complete makeover. Win a couple titles then gey fired. That will most likely happen.

Why can't Jay Lethal be Jay Lethal instead of a knock-off Savage. And stop having Creed be the knock off Apolo Creed

Bringing Savage in is a horrible idea. TNA needs to bring in people that can wrestle.

Jay Lethal should drop the Machismo gimmick and be repackaged. He could get some bland gimmick and be the Shelton Benjamin of TNA.

To be honest that is what he is. Lethel and Benjamin both had chances to shine, but they never got the true push they deserve.

It's sad...

Lol? Coincidentially, Kurt has put BOTH of them over. They haven't went anywhere. Lethal's is more TNA's fault though. They haven't done shit with him, but admittedly he's boring as fuck, plus he seems so tiny and insignificant. The most I could ever see him hoping to accomplish would be in the X-Division, which is exactly where he should be placed, maybe even win the title again.

And btw, as far as Shelton goes, I guess beating TRIPLE H twice isn't a 'true push.' Then not long ago, been given the ball in ECW. Why is it that Christian brought interest to ECW and not Shelton..?

Cause Shelton sucks on the mic.

Lethal is a jobber right now, they almost made him look important when he beat Angle at No Surrender 07 but that was the closest he's ever been to looking credible.

Case in point, nobody cares about Jay Lethal...at least I don't

Jay Lethal hasn't had a good match since Low Ki ghetto stomped him from the top of the bleachers in RoH. He's just not a charismatic dude, but neither are any of the other X wrestlers besides MCMG and Kendrick has some charisma too, just too bad he's not that great of a wrestler either.

Pretty much, and he's dull and boring as fuck and has 0 charisma. Use to before at least, I've come to enjoy him much more now and he's improved. I really hope he steps up his game even more when he gets moved to Raw or SD (hopefully SD), I like Shelton. His last promo on ECW when he teamed with Christian/Yoshi wasn't bad as well and the one tonight was pretty damn good, imo.

Ok, wait, WHAT THE FUCK? Ironically, I am watching ECW now and what the FUCK is "WHO DAT?" Was I asleep or something and not notice Shelton create some new mega catchphrase? Was I dreaming or was Shelton actually MEGA over tonight, more over than he's EVER been in his 7ish year fail career?

He's also the only famous Shelton! And has his own site too, damn: http://www.shelton-benjamin.net/

^^^LMAO. No need to be alarmed. Shelton is not over. "WHO DAT?" is the Saint's catchphrase and the E is in Louisiana, so Shelton isn't mega over, he's just getting some very easy and very, very cheap pops. Don't worry, nothing's changed, he's still as uncharismatic as ever. Once he's in any of the other 49 states people will be sitting on their hands during a Benjamin match/promo.

:lmao

I was looking up Shelton because I thought he was maybe from Lousiana or some shit. It seemed like they were directing it to him, lmao. Anyways, that was a good match all around. Vance Archer is pretty good too, I like how they're sending off ECW with "extreme rules" matches, heh. I was hoping ECW would have some big ass send off like Christian vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. Matt Hardy (possibly Extreme Rules). How fucking epic would that be? This should all probably be in the ECW Discussion thread, but I don't even think there is one, so I'll just randomly pick this one (since no one cares about Lethal anyways).

What was your guy's thoughts on ECW?! Enzo?

That was 6 years ago when he beat Triple H. I can understand it being a couple weeks or a few months, but years? And when was he given the ball on ECW? When he lost to the rookie by one move? When his feud with Sheamus just ends one day? When he was the number one contender for the belt and then goes to feuding with anther rookie (in the E anyway) Vance Archer? That's some ball to run with.
