:lmao

I was looking up Shelton because I thought he was maybe from Lousiana or some shit. It seemed like they were directing it to him, lmao. Anyways, that was a good match all around. Vance Archer is pretty good too, I like how they're sending off ECW with "extreme rules" matches, heh. I was hoping ECW would have some big ass send off like Christian vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. Matt Hardy (possibly Extreme Rules). How fucking epic would that be? This should all probably be in the ECW Discussion thread, but I don't even think there is one, so I'll just randomly pick this one (since no one cares about Lethal anyways).

What was your guy's thoughts on ECW?! Enzo?

Only saw the Benjamin-Archer segment. Good friggin match and it saddens me that a true wrestling show is going the way of the garbage for what sounds like its going to be garbage in NXT. I will be looking forward to all these extreme rules matches, and maybe, as I suggested before, they'll keep the ECW title around as an extreme rules belt, a modern hardcore division. Would be pretty sweet and spice up the card on whatever show its on and it could give guys like Knox, Mark Henry, Gallows, Kozlov, and some of the other big hosses or floundering mid carders something to do. They don't have to go all out like classic ECW, they can just have some WCW-ish hardcore matches where some dude wheels out the weapons and they hit the hell out of eachother with stuff like garbage cans, kendo sticks and cookie trays and maybe break some tables. Doesn't have to be bloody to be "hardcore".

I've always liked Jay Lethal. He is a pretty good wrestler and neve fails to entertain me but I agree with most in that he needs to be re packaged. If he does get re packaged it would need to be something pretty good as he has little credibilty left as he has lost to a lot of people as of late. I can't even remember the last time he actually won a match.

Pretty much, and he's dull and boring as fuck and has 0 charisma. Use to before at least, I've come to enjoy him much more now and he's improved. I really hope he steps up his game even more when he gets moved to Raw or SD (hopefully SD), I like Shelton. His last promo on ECW when he teamed with Christian/Yoshi wasn't bad as well and the one tonight was pretty damn good, imo.

Also the Mama Benjamin did not help his career any bit.

You stupid? That's when Benjamin peaked, Mama was to Benjamin as Konnan was to LAX.

Lethal needs more single matches, everytime I see him he's in a tag match with two other teams in the ring. He gets lost in the crowd.

Great One

Idk, I think NXT is gonna be sick. I mean, Danielson and Low Ki are already pretty much confirmed for being part of the show. Maybe Lethal go even go there. =p

And I agree, Mana Benjamin was AWESOME. An awesome idea, imo. I was hoping she'd make a return in his feud with MVP. I think it's really underrated and over-criticized, I really coulda seen it developing into something, tbh.

^^^LMAO. No need to be alarmed. Shelton is not over. "WHO DAT?" is the Saint's catchphrase and the E is in Louisiana, so Shelton isn't mega over, he's just getting some very easy and very, very cheap pops. Don't worry, nothing's changed, he's still as uncharismatic as ever. Once he's in any of the other 49 states people will be sitting on their hands during a Benjamin match/promo.

It was pretty funny actually because if you notice when he walks out with a mic everyone is booing him and he's looking around like WTF? Then the first thing he says is "Who Dat" and everyone cheers him and then he starts his face promo.

WWE didn't do a very good job of showing that he was trying to turn face. I know they started it with him fighting Christian in a ladder (TLC?) match but never really came out and said it.

As far as Lethal going to WWE, no X-division guy ever needs to go to the WWE, they'll do even less than they are in TNA....Except maybe they'll get paid more...and will do less.....I take it back.

Well looks like he was going to drop the gimmick...

» The storyline of Jay Lethal losing to wrestling stars of yesteryear was supposed to lead to the young grappler dropping the "Black Machismo" persona. At this time, however, Lethal remains situated in a state of limbo as there's no telling whether the angle will be continued now that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are in charge.
