Big Show's been moving faster this past year than he has for most of his career too, been putting on some good TV matches.

Show has a purpose, he is that upper mid carder that constantly gets thrown into the main event. Doing this keeps Show in a spot where he is seen as a likely threat, so that he can be used to make another upper mid carder into a main eventer. It does not always work(as can now be seen with Rhodes), but it did work with Punk, Cena, and countless others. Think of him like a Jake Roberts, he worked with the talent that would go on to face Hogan.

He can also outsell anyone anywhere near his size.

Until they are able to find someone they can use like that, that will not complain about his position in the company, Show will be a very valuable comodity.

In any other decade Big Show would have that Andre type of aura.

the only problem Big Show has, is the fact that we see him every week. If he was traveling around the country like Andre did, he would be the biggest money maker WWE would have.

Completely agree, a rare, special attraction(like they are curently doing with Lesnar) would be the ultimate way to promote Show. The only issue Show has, that really allowed Andre & Lesnar to pull it off, is having a damned good manager that can keep you in the spotlight, without being there.

If you were going to use Big Show in that type of capacity, it is best to use him as a GM threat that come back from time to time to show that you should respect the GM, respect the Big Show and respect the GM kind of thing.

Brock is in the luxury of being looked at as LEGIt though, which befuddles me as to why people don't see Paul Wight in the same manor, I mean he is only the largest athlete in the world.

The only reason why Big Show doesn't look as legit is cause of all the crap they've put Big Show through. Like a huge crybaby and he was becoming as much of a jobber as Kane was at one time.

Its just... I dunno. I just can't get behind the big show.

I know what you mean, he is basically a victim of modern day wrestling, you need a character that builds up arcs that go into territories that makes alot of people uncomfortable. I've never been a fan of this, but I can't deny that it is the thing that brings in more viewers, something any company would want more of this type of crap.

I blame the fickleness of the modern TV viewer.

I think the problem is is that WWE don't know quite how to book him because of his size. It is like the Great Khali, they are both such an awkward size because they are both very tall and large as well whereas guys like Taker and Kane and tall but are nowhere near as large. Kane and Taker can work well with smaller guys whereas with Big Show it just doesn't seem to work as well. I liked the way the match at SummerSlam was booked with Cena and Punk both trying to wear down and take apart Show but when it comes down to a one on one match it requires a top opponent for Show to get the best out of him. Not saying that Show is bad but some of the smaller wrestlers just haven't figured out how to work with him to pull off a good match.

I don't mind him being used as a hired gun, taking apart big names at the request of an authority figure especially if it means he takes a few months off at a time. He is one that needs to become a special attraction wrestler rather than a 24/7 wrestler. He should be given the schedule that Undertaker had a few years back where he would wrestle around six months in every year. That way his character stays fresh and allows WWE to book him in more meaningful feuds.
