Seriously? I don't give a shit about this like at all. But maybe I'll try to organise a huge "END OF THE WORLD" orgy. But I highly doubt if I'll find girls who are that that that that dumb.

I don't know if there will be a huge increase in crime, there will definitely be people trying to take advantage of the situation but I don't know if people will go out there rioting to get free stuff. The big issue will be those that think that this is it and will try to kill themselves and their families as mentioned above.

I don't get that thinking though, if you believe that the end of the world is coming then why wouldn't you wait for it to come and die that way. Why kill yourself before it even happens?

I don't think there will be a lot of crime. Sure, people will most likey panic but other than that I don't see any danger.

Anybody else expecting a ton of crime? As in rape, murders and other shit like that. It's going to be Blue and I'm going to be on full alert at work.
I hope not, but you never know what crazy shit runs loose in the minds of gullible armageddon-fearing loons. Some people just believe anything they read on the internet and don't research it any deeper than what they saw on their Facebook news feed. Just the fact someone could have posted a video like Troy did in the OP could send a storm of idiots into a frenzy. Particularly Americans who have no clue who Julia Gillard is.

The one thing that I'm afraid of is someone coming to into my work and just fucking shit up. I may have to get rid of Facebook for that day simply because of all the shit in my newsfeed that will surely be posted.

Not me. Facebook is my inside source to what people I should avoid for the rest of my life. Assuming those people aren't dead or incarcerated. Most of my friends aren't idiots, but the fear of death does crazy fucking shit to some people.

Unless something of Japanese earthquake proportions happens in the next 7 days I think it'll pass without much of note happening.

A natural (or indeed man-made) disaster may be enough to spook people into believing the nonsense, but aside from that I don't think we'll hear much about it until it's passed. There may well be one or two isolated incidents across the globe as a whole but with a population of 7 billion I don't see there being any more death on horror on December the 21st than there is any other day.

There have been a few earthquakes here the past couple months and we don't normally get them. Gotta admit, the 2012 jokes seemed a little less funny when my house was shaking...

I think I'm going to offer people fruit punch, and see what happens.

It's not that I'm not afraid to fight. But as a kid I had bad anger issues, so I try to keep as far away from that as possible.

But I love good joke.

This may be a distasteful thing to say, take it however you like as I really don't care, but I can see there being alot of suicide attempts. There will be people who truly believe in this so much that they don't want to experience whatever causes the world to end and would prefer to end it on their own terms. We'll hear or read about plenty of attempts, successful or not, and the world won't end.

I remember last years 'end of the world' prediction by that Harold Camping guy, (21st Oct 2011) and the same thing happened then too.

There was a great story about how some American guy got rich off the back of it, setting up an insurance company to take care of suicidal peoples pets just in case the world carried on spinning (SPOILER - IT DID)

I'm just glad that I was scheduled to be off that day. Gonna stay home and lock the doors... and play my PS3... I might play Wii and the 360 as well. Have an all out gaming session. Bust out the PS2, Dreamcast... SNES. YEAH!

This will be my 6th apocalypse since 2000.

So far so good. Anyways, I will remember everyone who thought this shit was going to happen and keep reminding them of it everytime they try to throw out opinions.
