I know how you feel about every black person being on the Obama bandwagon and everything.
But there are much more reasons why we (African Americans) jump on Obama's bandwagon...
- Now that Obama is our first black president, it impacts other ethnicities to realize that anybody can be U.S. president if they set their mind to it. And also referring to achieving their goals.
-It helps out our young people, Obama appeals to the younger people through the Internet and basically the youth are the future to our society.
-It's time for Obama to bring back our troops from this war, I'm tired of seeing young adults as casualties on the news channels now. And yet I still don't understand the meaning of the Iraqi War.
Trust me man, I know not everyone who is african american likes him just for the bandwagon reasons.
But there are plenty on him.
If you actually like him for reasons, including that he is black, but also other reasons, that you think make him right for ht eocuntry, then good on you.
But if you, like some people, are on the Obama-Train becuase that's what celebrities are telling you to do, and because he's black, so you think a black guy should get in just cause he's black, that's not good.
You seem like the kind of dude that could at least make up his own mind though, so I hope you actually like Obama for more than being black.
Me, like I said, I like him, and it has nothing to do with him being black, (considering I'm white, living in Canada), but I actually feared the thought of McCain getting in, and was hoping Obama would get in, because even though he isn't perfect, his policies are a hell of a lot better, for the world as a whole, not just America, than McCain's or Bush's
Edit:
Oh, and Italian Outsider, don't pay attention to that video. Ya, it's got a bunch of those dumbasses celebrating over a black president, but those are the bandwagon types I was referring to.
Obama will still make a good president, but just videos like that make it look as if he is going to be some form of gangster, hip hop president, when in reality, he won't.
