Last night on Raw, we literally had a repeat from last year with Daniel Bryan. He came out and vacated his title and announced that he's taking another sabbatical due to injury. He once again left his wrestling future up in the air.

Thoughts?

He'll wrestle again. But they met never make another big push for him again.

The poor guy can't get a fucking break. :/

Drew's right. Now that he's injury prone, the McMahons will be even less incline to give him a world title push.

Tbh if he retired now I'd be fine with it. He definitely has nothing left to prove and his health is the most important thing. It'll suck if he's done, but I'll be over it if I know he's going to live a long and healthy life.

Yeah if he retires I wouldn't be shocked. I mean this is his life, he doesn't want to end up in a Wheelchair. He wants to have kids and a family with Brie and he said, well I don't want to take the risk of Wrestling again then just retire. I'm crossing my fingers that we see him in a ring again, because he's one of my favorite talents.

What he has to prove is a lengthy title run. He's gotten injured every time he's due for a long title run. Apparently he was supposed to carry the wwe world title after WM XXX and drop it to Brock lesnar at summerslam which would have given him a 5 month reign. Who knows how long he would have been IC Champion if not for the injury.

It's a real shame that such a talented wrestler has to be injured once again. I really wouldn't mind if he retires if he needs too, I don't want to see him get even further injured, he has already had the amazing WM XXX moment which will be hard to top.

Looks like he's not done yet (probably)

He wrote this on Instagram

Flew home, picked up @josie_the_frenchie and then headed straight to physical therapy. Working as hard as I can to try to get back. Meanwhile, Josie just wants a nap.

He was ROH World Champion for more than a year. I realize that doesn't count to people like you, but the fact remains that he's had at least one lengthy title run so you can cross that off of things to prove as well.

And that reign was better than any of his WWE reigns are likely to be.

Like Fuji, I wouldn't be upset if Bryan is done at this point. He's had a great career, call it a day whilst you've still got your body working Daniel.

I was talking about wwe. Yeah to Indy fans you can check it off the list but he needs a lengthly run in wrestling's biggest company.

You didn't specify that though. He doesn't NEED anything at this point except to be healthy and live a long life. If you're really that desperate to see him have a long title run in WWE to that detriment then I really don't know what to say.

I never said he should put it before his health. I meant in general.

Yeah, poor guy can't seem to catch a break whenever he wins a championship. He'll be back eventually, but I have a feeling when he comes back he'll retire after a few months and I wouldn't blame him. Like others have noted, he's done all there is to do in the WWE, including winning every championship at least once. While it would be a bummer to see him go, at the same time it would be good for him health wise before it became too much of a risk, similar to Edge stepping away before it got worse for him.
