Given all these great AEW signings, and WWE dumping a lot of their roster, with yet another big name being signed to AEW after they just acquired Punk and Danielson, do you think the WWE is gonna be hurting, or, do you think they will be able to hold on to enough viewership? WWE won’t ever die, I think we all know that, but, interesting to see how much of a hit it takes.

Just... no. We still got a long way to go before you can call them in trouble.

WWE's hardly in any real trouble, as long as they keep drawing half-decent ratings of their shows.

Unless AEW can steer the handicap and younger fans of WWE, who they grew up with their entire life. WWE will always have some sort of solid fanbase. They are currently goin' through so hardships but drastic changes are bein' made without the company bein' anywhere near bankruptcy.

I don't think they are in trouble, but this better have them rethinking some of their methods of doing things. They have too much of a footprint to be in serious trouble IMO.

This is a company worth $6 billion that we’re talking about. They faced their biggest struggle 25 years ago. They’ll be in business for as long as they want to be.

I won’t say it’s a dumb question, but as one of the biggest AEW Marks here, WWE isn’t in trouble because of the deals they have in place. But if they keep doing things to piss off the networks, then we can talk.

I don’t think it’s dumb to wonder. I don’t think they are as they will always stick around. No matter how many promotions are out there, no matter how bad WWE is, it was my first wrestling love and it will always stick to my heart. I’m not asking if people think it’s going out of business, I’m asking if people think it will have a big impact on ratings, sales, etc. or nothing at all.
I mean, perhaps a more thought out response would have sufficed, too.

They'll be fine, the machine will continue to chug along regardless making money hand over fist.

AEW definitely need Punk & Bryan to try and close the gap consistently though because if they can't do that ontop of what they already have, i'm really not sure what will outside of someone genuinely unforeseen.

I would say WWE - has been put into a new position now. Not one of weakness though - and also one that shouldn't be compared to WCW - because that was a very different relationship. Optimistically, this might be the push that the fed needs.

Only way WWE is ever in trouble is if they go WCW circa 2001 and lose all their television exposure.

Until then, like a certain Second City Saint once said “Vince McMahon will make money in spite of himself.”
