TNA dying? Right now I'm saying they're on their way until proven otherwise. Still have a long way to go before you read them their last rights, but the getting the right replacement for Prichard is enormous. Also replacing the marketing and PR directors who were fired recently with people who don't make me say "holy shit, they have marketing and PR directors?"

It's effect on the wrestling business: It'll give Vince nothing to rip off, and that's about it.

It's legacy? Probably the same thing braindead casuals say about it today. "lolwwerejectshow"

TNA, though not as big as the WWE, had a lot of it's gold moments that will stay with the fans forever. I'm hoping for the best for them.

WWE wouldn't be the same if TNA dissolves. WWE will lose another competitor, and eventually their work will be sloppy, seeing as (almost) nothing pushes them to do their best.

TNA isn't competition for the WWE. That's the sad truth. If they were Vince would acknowledge its existence. He does not.

TNA is an alternative, but it isn't in direct competition with the WWE.

Bruce and D'Lo weren't the creative team from what I know. Isn't that Dave Lagana?

If you remember before BFG 2011 when Russo was demoted from "head of creative" to "head writer", Prichard took his place as head of creative to filter his ideas out.
After Russo left altogether Lagana became the head writer and took his spot.

Makes you wonder how much they'll change creatively.

But Prichard hasn't been listed as the head of creative in a while if I remember correctly. He has been presented as the vice president of programming and talent relations. Unless creative has become programming that could insinuate that they already have a new head of creative.

Not really a reliable report, but:

Bruce Prichard has been officially release from his position as Senior Vice President, Programming & Talent Relations position that he has held since October 2011.
Prichard oversaw talent relations, talent scouting and development, as well as, overseeing the creative direction of the company.
Many within the company blamed Prichard for the recent issues with talent’s contract expiring without new deals being signed and/or talents being signed so close to the end of their existing contracts.

Really, all we can do is watch to see if any changes happen with this one.

Huh, so head of creative was part of head of programming I guess.

It's a wait and see process I guess. They cannot exactly turn the ship around a full 180 degrees overnight. It will be a process over a longer period of time.

The company isn't dying, more threading water in my opinion, not really going anywhere. I used the ship hitting a reef metaphor before but I think a better one is a car stuck in a mudhole. You can either push the car out of the mud and find another way around, or you can just keep pushing your petal to the metal and end up burning out your engine.
TNA is luckily enough seemingly doing the former instead of the latter. Not exactly dead yet. But if they had continued on this way they might have been in a while's time (not immediate, but down the road).

Most everyone has been bitching about TNA's product for a few months now, but then many are turning around and acting like firing Pritchard is a bad idea. I'm glad he's gone, fuck that fat arrogant ignorant prick. He adds nothing.

It won't die they are having to undergo changes with going on the road. Trimming the fat as you would. I admit not greatly in the eyes of the fans as getting rid of the Hogans would save I imagine a s**t ton of money. But no doubt they cant afford to due to having to pay part of the contract of or something similar if they did.

Give it time they are finding there feet and I'm sure with this pressure of having to be great to sort things out and get punters in they will do. They still have great stars and loyal fans so I doubt they are going anywhere but up after a restructure etc...

Ashley turning a ship 360 degrees would make it keep going the same way, but I see your point.[/quote]
