Makes little booking sense at this point, and I don't think WWE is willing to split the New Day up, since they move merchandise like nobodies mother. And New Day don't really work with a singles competitor dynamic. They all mesh together well, so Big E isn't a plausible choice.

I could definitely buy Big E as an underdog choice, he's been quietly kept pretty safe from all of New Day's non-title losses, but the odds of it happening are non-existent haha

Something I am not ruling out is a surprise Balor return and him winning. From what I saw from him when he guest appeared at IWC Fear and Loathing 9, his arm wasn't in a sling so that hopefully means it is healing and him vs KO at Mania would be a good match.

Anyone who isn't Reigns, Cena or Goldberg would shock the hell outta me!

Jericho....

He's never won it before & he could stay away until the RR. Maybe KO even convinces them to let him be in the RR & if he wins HE gets to choose his own opponent to face him at WM for the Title.... And it all is working out great for him until Jericho is #30 & eliminates him to win the Rumble.

KO Vs Chris Jericho - Universal Title at WM

But I'm guessing it will be Finn Balor.

Jericho would get me super hyped. He deserves to win. Jericho has probably had the best year out of anyone this year. He's at least in the top 3. it would be super lame if Finn Balor returned and won.

I actually would love Jericho winning the rumble. I assume it'll be a RAW guy anyway, makes perfect sense.

Anyone but Reigns, Cena or Lesnar...

I always look forward to the Rumble...but the
last 2 have been garbage. I don't really care
who wins...just book the match to be fun and
entertaining.

Maybe Orton turns on Wyatt at the rumble and ends up winning? Hopefully they let that alliance go on a little bit longer though, actually liking Orton as a Wyatt family member.

I hope so but I doubt it will be anything too shocking. But it has been a while since there were any surprising ones.

I recall 1993, I don't think any of my friends thought Yokozuna was going to win. I mean, looking back on it, it actually made sense since Bret Hart was the champion and they really needed a heel for him to go up against. They couldn't go with Shawn Michaels as he was feuding with Marty Janetty. Hart faced Razor Ramon at the Rumble. Actually Lex Luger would have been a good choice since he debuted that night but they didn't do surprise entrants back then.

Anyway, I'd like to see something really different. I'd also like to see a first time winner though. I wouldn't mind Bray Wyatt or Chris Jericho. Jericho actually might not be shocking, because it already seems like he and KO are heading towards an encounter. That might actually be a good way to completely break them apart. Jericho wins and faces KO at WrestleMania. Would be nice, but I guess not really shocking.

Well that post was all over the place.

Honestly, with the brand split back, there are still more possibilities than there have been since Wrestlemania 28. Now the Royal Rumble can be used to set up either title match. Even then, both title matches aren't as obvious. The Universal title can have either Balor, or Jericho, or even have another person like Zayn (I can only dream). The World title can have Cena, or even Balor could win and go after the other former Bullet Club member in an unlikely, yet awesome scenerio.

The past number of years, the Royal Rumble winner was super obvious.

29-Cena and nobody else
30-Batista
31-Roman Reigns
32-Triple H or Roman Reigns

This time, it's hard for me to narrow it down to just one or two people.
